End of Season : Declining Perfomance

I'm currently playing with Real Madrid for the second season running. I've always noticed a steady decline in the players perfomance towards the end of the season. This leads to other things such as low morale, bad results etc.

I've tried reducing training load towards the end of the season but it hasn't helped much. Any ideas to solve this problem ?

:)

Rotating your players works well, but too much rotating won't do your team's performance any good either.

teams could be copping on to your style of play

Quite possible. I've noticed many teams defending deep and playing mainly on the counter. I'll try altering my tactics then.

@zlatan:I'll give this rotation policy a go :)

@Theo:lol..got bored of it quite some time ago. Thought i should play something more 'realistic' so started playing this game :p
.

Thanks for the help.

My advice is contrary to Max: Dont rotate. I never rotate, and at the end of the season my form always seems to be at it's best. I also seem to get higher passes completed ratings at the end of the season (I never seem to have tired players either). I must admit, I never had a succesful CL/UEFA Cup campaign with Koln though, so I dont play that many matches

I used to agree with you, Cody, but I tried one season where I every game I played lesser teams played a B-team and only the important ones I started my preferred starting eleven. I notice now that my team is able to perform well until the end of the season, which is important ofcourse cause that's where the prices are handed out.

Moreover it keeps your bench happy, which is also nice for the team's moral and stuff.

The last part is very true I must admit, I have like 5 (decent to good) players who dont get any playing time at all, sitting on the bench every week players Siao Jiayi (my commercial signing, to get more merchandising income from my Chinese feeder) doesnt play and this also effects my merchandising income, in a bad way.

I tried out the rotation policy which zlatan suggested, though i'm not a big fan of it. The perfomances were scrappy but better off than the previous ones atleast. Won the Spanish 1st Divsion eventually.

Thanks :)
