End of la Liga

Up until the beginning of 2004, We were cruising through La Liga with a 10+ point lead in La Liga and all of the sudden we started dropping points all over the place and at the end of the season, we fnd ourselves in 4th place in La Liga losing a club record in a row.

What Happened? :(

How about those newly promoted teams who'll be playing in La Liga next season? Anyone know anything about them?

- Levante
- Numancia
- Real Sporting Gijon

there are 5 teams fighting for 3 spots.

1 Levante 69
2 Numancia 67
3 Alavés 67
4 Sporting 64
5 Getafe 64

Levante is the 2nd team of the city of Valencia.

Numancia was some seasons ago in la Liga, they are from deep spain, a litte city called Soria.

Alaves, they are from Vitoria, they played UEFA final 3 years ago against Liverpool.

Sporting. Historically important spanish team. must be in la liga :P

Getafe, south city from Madrid, the arch rival of mi city (Leganes) :p

what happened is you have zero squad depth and a 5 or 6 players of your starting eleven are prima donnas who only play when they feel like it.

La Liga was great this year though I must pat myself on the back since I predicted Real Madrid falling apart due to reason reason, and almost one reason alone. No defense.

Their next problem is a lack of squad depth. Its either your a starter or a youth teamer in Real Madrid with a miniature amount of backup players.

Next of buying Beckham really backfired since it killed the teams chances of getting a defender.

And there is also selling Makelele which killed Real Madrid, and there is also them not getting Millito and them crashing out of 2 cups which threw them off.

And Raul had a poor season compared to his past seasons as well. Wow it was just one bullsh!tty season for Real Madrid.

Buying Becks didn't ruin their chances of buying a defender. This is obvious because because we had Milito. Florentino just had faith in our youth system's defense which backfired;)

Losing Makelele was a big blow for them since they never got anybody to replace him and you can see how important a good CMD is to teams like Madrid n Barça(great second half after getting Davids) since that allows attacking minded players like Beckham, Zidane, Figo... and Xavi, Ronaldinho to focus on doing what they do best and not worrying so much about defending. Also people blame Guti for having a terrible season which i agree but he also is an offensive minded player and they call on him to replace a player like Makelele and to me thats just poor coaching from Queiroz. I remember Cambiasso doing a decent job til word got out that he was leaving to Inter at the end of the season because Real wouldnt accept his money demands and all of a sudden he's outta the starting team. Raul had a poor season and he still managed to score 20 plus goals between the 3 competitions which is not that bad.

Hey, thanks.

Why are Sporting a historically important team, though?

celta vigo,a cl side has gone down.verydissapointing.

real sociedad proved that they had a fairy tale season last year, but they still have massive potential and desire.

real madrid have blown it big time.
forget no trophies, they ended their season 4th.what a shame.

congrats sevilla.
and barcelona look to be set as the most deadly side in next year's cl.
