It's a pixel shader modifier. Just unzip the files inside FIFA07 root folder and run the game. The graphics should look smoother.

It's a shader modifier made by some russian guys.

I've edited the enbseries.ini file for my taste, but it seems the results may not be the same depending on drivers/video board version, so maybe you will have to change something in the file for brightness or blurring adjustments, according to you perception of what looks better.

I believe it can improves the visuals a lot, if well adjusted.

[EDIT]The atached ini file may improve performance (at least in my system it did).
But I have to admit that it still doesn't overdo the vanilla game that much... :clapwap: [/EDIT]

I've made the aboards myself. I'm posting a zip file with two resolutions of them.(Y)

[EDIT]My brazilian adboards:

[/EDIT]

But be aware that I've kept or translated some original EA boards, just for making them more "beliveable" to be in the game originally.

I'm also posting a try to "balance" look and performance, but it doesn't seem to be trivial (probably the DX8 to DX9 conversion is eating some resources). :( :icon_spin:

Working with UCL07

I've tested it with UEFA CL 06/07, and it works.

And the performance is much better, so I believe that there is more room for improvements with this game. (Y)

Be aware that some configurations in the high detail file can destroy the cinematics.

Alternative UCL configuration

I've tried to reduce the glowing, and to increase smoothness.

I'm not sure I've gone the right direction, but I may try to improve it further, since it doesn't seem to be degrading UCL performance that much. ;)

Well, you may be correct, but as I can't see that much difference between 09 an 10, I'd consider the worst case for safety. ;)

At least in my system, I'm using this patch with FIFA 10 too, and I wish I could get the same performance with FIFA 07... :(

But this may depend on system configuration. I can run FIFA 10, at 1280x960 (my screen maximum), with everything set to "above average" quality (even some AA), but couldn't play FIFA 08 at all (that doesn't look that much better than 07, IMHO), even setting everything in the drivers for maximum performance, and forcing it to run at 640x480 , so I wouldn't try to guess the real requirements...

FIFA 10 testing

I know this is off-topic, but it's not worthy a new thread at 10's forums...

I think it looks weird compared to 07/UCL, even with the help of Duong's Replacer neutral patch... :clapwap:

So you are saying when you apply this patch to FIFA 10, it looks weird? Interesting.

When applied to UCL 06/07, either the original or the alternate patch, does performance take a hit? Does the game run smoother? Is there any significant improvement?

Does it make the pitch look greener during night games in any way?

I am looking for a patch for UCL 06/07 that makes the grass look greener during night games.

Also I noticed a problem in UCL (either day games or night games) where in some cutscenes, the crowd looks black and white. It other cutscenes they look fully colored. Maybe it has to do with certain angles or something. Does the patch fix the black and white effect of the crowd and player models on some cutscenes in UCL 06/07?

Well, comparing the images, I sincerely think it looks way too cartoony, at least in my system, and I'd realy like to make it look photo-realistic. Of course 10 models are much richer than in the 07 games, at least during replays, but during the gameplay itself (most of time), the models looks almost the same, so most of time 07 looks better than 10, IMHO.

I hope we get something like the "Console" patch in 09 "graphics exchager 09", for 10. :clapwap:

At the performance hit, yes there is a loss in my system, nothing that severe with UCL, but I don't think that a performance increase is totally impossible depending on how you video board deals with 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 shaders. I know it's not the same thing, but in some older games, like Quake, the GL enhanced version would run better at higher resolutions than the older "software" rendered version...

I don't think it's possible to make the pitch greener with this, at least not without oversaturating every color, changing color correction parameters.

I believe that the grass textures are part of stadiums cmp files, if you export them with CM07. As FIFA07 stadiums works with UCL, and their grass looks greener, I'd try to export the FIFA07 stadiums (at least textures), and import them into UCL, overwriting the original stadiums.

But it may happen that the grass textures are already green, and looks gray thanks to lightning "temperature" of fluorescent lamps. I'm just speculating this because I'm not at home now and can't open CM07 and check the textures. In this case, the color correction should be made the same way that "graphics exchanger 09", or "Duong's MGR" changes FIFA09, editing text files that describes the pitch lightning in zdata. In this case, if you believe that FIFA07 colors are ok, it could be worthy try to import these 07 files into UCL, using FileMaster07, but even this could not work (FIFA09 and FIFA10 treatment for these files is different, so it could be different in UCL and FIFA07). Rebuilding fat may not be necessary, if you are only replacing files.

I haven't noticed the crowd color changing, but I've disabled post-processing in cfg_pc_h file, so cutscenes looks like gameplay, and this may prevent it.

Maybe it's worthy to try some FIFA/UCL file exchange. If you don't own FIFA07, the ligntning files, and some textures, could be taken from the demo version. I may give this a try if I get the time...

[edit] I had a look at the game files, and none of my thoughts has been confirmed. I think I've located the effects files, but they have different names, so direct exchange of them may not be possible. And the grass doesn't seem to be part of UCL stadiums patches (CM07). The textures are in zdata36, but the format doesn't look the same.[/edit]
