Bayer Leverkusen's Lúcio deserves credit for the great campaigns his club has done in recent years.
Also, Philippe Mexès deserves some credit for the solid defense Auxerre has.
Benfica's hard working midfielder Petit is the kind of player that always gives everything for the team, with the same workrate from the first to the last second of play.
As already said, Javier Zanetti is really a very dangerous player, even though he is a RB. I believe he is the best player in the world in his position. Anyone who watched Newcastle vs. Internazionale for the CL in November, knows what I'm talking about.
For the opposite reasons... Miroslav Klose is too much over-rated. Just because he scored 6 goals in the World Cup (4 in a training-game against Saudi Arabia, no offence) he's not (by far) the best striker in Germany. It makes me remember the 1994'World Cup in the USA, where Russian striker Oleg Salenko was the top goalscorer with 6 goals, with 5 against then-weakest team Cameroon, and in the end of the tournament, everyone tipped him for a big-money move to a European Top Club... ended up playing for Córdoba and in the Japan league, with a short stay at Valencia, I think... LOL
Cheers
