Editing Made Easy!

Ive worked out a simple way to distribute the forms I use to make editing FIFA in Access easier, and have sent them to Matt Holme. He has told me he will have them up at www.fifa2003.com for download within 24hours, or basically as soon as he can.

You still need Access AND the Creation Centre to edit FIFA this way, but it makes things MUCH easier. Make sure that if you download it, that you follow the steps in the readme carefully.

Id also like to throw in that those confused about Access editing etc, I am working on a FAQ that will also be up asap at www.fifa2003.com

Sounds good I don't mind editing in Access, it's just that when you load FIFA the players are all in different positions etc. Hopefully this will fix it

sounds good, I love access (actually have a programming qualification in it)

I was thinking of making a few (easier to use) forms myself.

but if you have beaten me to it, then great. so post a link to database here when you have finished

or even just the visual code behind it and let the fun begin

ok i have checked and im sure im correct

when you add a team into, or a player into creation centre

these addition do not seem to add in dev_all_data database

so does anybody knwo where they save to?

i know that you can rename teh PKG file to zip format and that the data is readable but not, by access


just curious if any body knows

xml? It think that's where the data goes, I'm not sure tho, since I don't use the CC, Access or XML to edit rosters. The xml file is, I believe, in the .pkg.

Ive been working on a few fixes for the initial release, and I have something sorted out now, so in the next few days, a newer version may be out.

To answer the question, no i didnt inlclude all forms. To edit you dont need ALL forms! I have just included forms that let you edit ALL the important stuff on one screen, rather than having to change between different tables.

The tables used by the forms are mainly players, teams and LINK_PT, but i do have references to some other tables their.

Anyone that doesnt know what im speaking about, dont worry, download the forms, they are REALLY esy to use, and save heaps of time

Dont like double posting, especially when it isnt long apart like this, but I just checked fifa2003.com, and since the forms arent up yet, Im uploading the newer versions now, so when matt puts them there, they will be my most recent version

Good and Bad news.

Good news is that Ive experimented and got everything working better than ever. Bad news is that Matt has told me that something urgent (outside the internet) has come up, and he'll do it for me/us tomorrow.
