Editing a savefile?

You could use artmoney to do that. neevesc at sigames.com has converted his 2005 tables to 2006 already, and he has added height and weight.

I strongly suggest you don't use it unless you either know what you're doing, or have no fear. Artmoney edits the process much like MCFM, but it isn't limited to the necessary fields. F***-ing up your game is very easy. (Of course you can not do much harm after saving the game first)

This is as simple as I can make it:

1) Start FM 2006.
2) Click on Load Last Game (wait until game has loaded). IMPORTANT Now back up your saved game or save it with a different name (just incase the game crashes).
3) Go to your Finances screen. Under neath Profit/(Loss) is your (Bank) Balance, make a note of this number.
4) Start Artmoney.
5) Select Process = Football Manager 2006
6) Load (table you want) FM_club_finances.amt, click open.
7) Click Search and Search for Exact Value, in the value = box enter your (Bank) Balance (the number you should have made a note of in step 3). Now click OK and waith until the cancel button changes to OK, then click it.

Now with all the matched results on the left (there may be a few, depends on your balance), press ALT+A and watch the values change on the right side of the screen. If the rest of the values (Transfer Budgets) do not match what is displayed in FM then click on the next result down on the left hand side and press ALT+A again.

When the values match what is displayed in FM you can edit away by changing the values in the value column in the right had side of the screen.

Now to check the effects of your editing in the game, go back to FM and click on a different screen (Playes) then click back on Finances, if all has gone well you should see your finances changed.

I would play the game for 1 game day then save it, just to make sure that the editing hasn't made the game crash.

If the game has crahsed, then you have not found your clubs finances. Just repeat the above steps.

Enjoy :).

Always Back up before editing !

Disclaimer: I will not be held responsible if your game gets corrupted and/or your PC is also effected by following my guide above.

You Edit at your own risk.

Different tables require different unique numbers to search for, but one should be able to find those.

I think I'll wait for a save game editor (H)

It sounds too risky and add to the fact that I dont understand one thing you just said :D
