for eccentricity barthez has a 20...kahn has a 3. what does this mean for their play? how is it affected? does it mean how strange/aloof they are? how well they can get along with team mates?

Yeah it is basically how strange they are. A 20 for Barthez sounds about right :p

Eccentricy means a few things.

If you watch Barthez playing, he tries all of these tricks and usually goes over the top for saves etc.

IT doesn't really mean anything for influence on the rest of the team etc.

Lets just say its a kind of flair for goalkeeperes.

Kahn has 3 because hes less likely to flap for crosses and is stronger in his game.

The more eccentic the better IMO - makes the game more fun :p

Being a goalkeeper myself, I will mess about and do eccentric "European Style" goalkeeping.

I really admire keepers like Schmicheal & Kahn but keepers like BArthez and Casillas really annoy me. They are allot more likely to concede silly goals

Yeah that is true. My fav goal keeper is the legend, the one and only Jose Luis Chilavert (H)

Yeah, I always liked him, but he played like Kahn, low eccentricy although he was good at free kicks.

Anyone!?!?

Does anyone know Kawaguchi (GK) who plays for Portsmouth???

He showed a stunning performace for Japan in the 98' World Cup.
He was even picked for the best XI!!!

He's probably forgotton like all the other World Cup starts from the past...

Kawaguchi was a fantastic keeper but hes been frozen out of every club hes been to and now hes out of practice really. He was a fantastic keeper

Hes far to lucky. He seems to have no skill. Everytime a shot comes in he dives and it hits him :| Its annoying

I agree with you there. Hes not eccentric. Hes probably the worst keeper I have seen for Crosses

No, a goalkeeper should save the ball :p

I've never had a shot which has hit me without me moving a part of my anatomy to save it with.

Its just with Casillas, he doesn't seem to know what hes doing in goal.
