EA Want Your Creation Centre Feedback

i use it, yes, but it needs some added features.

+player numbers
+captaincy
+team management/lineup

those three alone are absolutely essential. i wouldn't mind seeing more kit options, though. but, kit raptor 2 should solve that.

All of you are forgeting something very important: create totally new strategies. Where is "4-4-2 w/ box in mf" - the most used here in Brazil? Why can't I do my own strategy? And if I want only one wing going to attack?
I want to create my own strategies, put all the players in exact places.

Yeah the creation center is great! It's a great feature.
TOO BAD THERE AINT ONE FOR THE PS2 VERSION OF FIFA 2003! The creation center for FIFA 2002 for PS2 is great. I don't understand why there isn't one for FIFA 2003.

well...

well someone is already working on an easier and effective way of editing with MS Access... can't wait till they are done.... because seriously who here expects EA to do a damn thing for us... they have already released the game and they got their money so why give us a hand with anything.
i do hope I'm wrong though:kader:

I'm not using the cc but kitraptor, adraptor and other raptorprograms from fifexpress.
Simply because it's easier to use those programs to import kits with one touch on a button, you can even save the original BMP's quite easily where the cc is more difficult and there is no helpfile to find out how it works!
What i miss with all the programs is a way to give color to the numbers like Barcelona with yellow numbers on the back and so on...
I'm used to work with EAGraph as well and that's the one i use to import .fsh-files into the game.
I did install the cc but now i wonder why really

Basically, the Creation Centre is good for two things, looking at appearances for editing in Access, and importing your Access edits.

The Creation Centre SHOULD include EVERYTHING that can be edited in Access. This means that those that arent experienced with databases, can still edit the game. I have no problems with the database, but have been using Access for quite a while for other things.

Also, I think that one thing needs to be added, that wasnt included (as far as we can see) in Access and that is team captains.

As for shoe colours, and the like, FIFA 2003 uses a new system where Jewelery, Arm Bands, shoes etc, are all done by the same method as specific faces, so doing different shoe colours would be very hard. But I really think this isnt as important as just having a good roster editor anyway!

Get the Team Formations, and Player Numbers sorted out first!

Cheers

Evrything else should be like FEd. Team management should be in CC, and we should be able to edit starplayers names and look too, not just all the normal players. For example: Del Piero doesn't have long hair anymore, and I think people should have their god damn right to decide whether they want a longhaired Del Piero or a shorthaired! Players like Cafu also have a first name: Marcos Cafu, Vitor Borba Rivaldo, Da Silva Roberto Carlos. If you don't want or can't write the whole name, let US do it! I undestand the structure of the game is real different and there probably won't be any solution to the formations problems and th number problems, but at least let us edit starplayers! I think that you should have made sure little things like being able to change the team captain and numbes for the players were enabled before putting up this new restrictive structure around this great game! Because Fifa 2003 IS great as it is, but it's betrayal like to offer a possibility to edit the game and then let people find out it's restrictive! Then don't do it at all!

The Formations Problem isnt because of the structure of the game! If it can be fixed with Access, it CAN be fixed with the CC. I know a bit about databases, and know that the CC is basically a program that reads an Access database (hence the access dll file in the CC directory).

As for the Brazilians etc that do have first names, you will find that often their "Common Name" isnt their last or their first name and this is why I believe EA have left their full name out. Some players real names doesnt even include their common name, so for EA to include them all would be silly.

Hey Matt, has EA pay any attention to these ?

Dude, I was just wondering, is it worth it to write down here `bout all the bugs ? You see, it`s been days since you started this thread, yet it seems there`s no response from EA. No official patch is released by them for the CC. It`s not your fault tough, it`s those overpaid programmer deft ear`s fault. Anyway have they E-mailed you again ? I guess I`m not the only one who is expecting some response from EA. And no, we are not talking what do we expect for CC in FIFA 2004, but we`re talking about a fix patch for CC FIFA 2003, tell that to EA ( well, hope they pay attention ).

Arrgghhhh!!!

Further thoughts regarding CC & Fifa 2003 bugs...

(1) It does not seem possible to edit the third kits of teams that begin the game with two. So, while editing any one of the 3 Leeds strips results in its appearance in the game, adding a generic 3rd kit to EC Bahia, will not - despite taking up 30MB of disk space and throwing the squad roster & numbers out of kilter.
(2) EA will have realised by now that the CC does not work - it is not possible to edit teams and not have the rosters/numbers fouled up unless you go through the process with MS Access. But - prior to the commencement of playing a custom league, you can at least go through the teams one at a time and rejiggle them so they are 'set'. It takes about 2 hours for a league of 20 teams and will have to be done afresh every time a new package is reloaded - a time-consuming and utterly unnecessary hassle, but there you go. Only you don't! After playing a couple of games of my new league I noticed in a game against FC Cologne that the goalie, who the CC had rerostered as a striker and who I'd rejiggled back into place, was now back in his wrong place as a striker. Inspection of other squads showed that the team management for one or two other teams had mysteriously re-set itself back to the wrong re-set values. What this means is that THE GAME IS UTTERLY UNEDITABLE. I have tried all ways to get this to work - it's nearly three weeks since I bought the game and I've only just started 'playing' it. EA need to release a patch to fix these issues.

EA creation centre

as far as my concern, ea can improve the CC just with expanding the editing possibilities for the team management (lineups, team captains etc.) and players (more hair and facial hair). What also has to be changed in the CC, is that it has to be possible to edit the by ea made players too, because some of them aren't quite right, like Guti (real madrid) and F. Inzaghi (Milan). Further more, enhance or just remove the whole package idea. Because if you change something, you have to save it as a whole new package. When you play the game then, you have lost all your save files, although they are still in the user-map.

And by the way, i didn't notice the loading games in 20 minutes problem, it's just my fast computer I think!!!! I really don't think that ea is going to do something with this, they will read the replies, but I think it's up to us to create a good editor...

Something that no-one has suggested...

Is I want to be able to view 1st / 2nd Division teams which ge tpromoted at the end of each season, and then, if ea can add a feature which allows us to change a team name, then I can change London to Millwall.

Apart from that all the rest have been said I think.

- Numbers
- Boots
- Etc.

Oh yes thought of another one, why is the 'creation center players' thing a team so that you can't transfer players out of it if they have less than 16 in it. This means you have to clone the player - taking up more room.

One last thing, didn't I hear something about being able to import your own menu music, as only miss dynamite, idlewild and timo mass are any good. But even they're not great. How do I do this, is it a feature of the cc that I havent noticed if not it should be.

If you visited FIFA MRA you`ll read this :
"Please note that we are currently aware that some users are experiencing technical problems with the downloading the correct elements of the Creation Centre particularly the different languages. We are currently investigating these problems and implementation of solutions and will update the situation as soon as we possibly can.

Many thanks for your patience.

EA SPORTS

Well what do you guys think ? Another bull****y from EA or this time they`ll keep their promise ? And I don`t like the way they use the word "some", I think all user got the same problems. And it`s not about the language only, there are many other problems that hasn`t been fixed.

Jomi

Reserve Team
For the people like me who have bought the game with just one
language option to install ( Germany and maybe other lands )
it's the BUG No 1 because I can only use the CC in german.
All downloads made with the English or Spanish CC are not accepted because my game doesn't read the data in these languages.
And 90% of the patches are made in English.
You're right when you say that there are other problems notably the fact that a modified player is considered as new by the CC and therefore making the limit of 600 "new" players available ridiculous. You can update just one or two leagues if you change the attributes of many players.
The in game editor of Fifa 2002 had the same limitations but it was bugs free!
But with the help of Access and the Raptors programs you can achieve by yourself with a little practice and logic, more IMO what an eventual EA patch could make.
I am working with Access since only 3 days and I have no previous experience of this program but I already know that I can edit almost all I want to get my rosters updated and for importing kits the KR is the best !
Because I don't think they want us to have a perfect tool .It is a marketing strategy.

Cheers JM
