EA... u should worry.... (Cc: Matt [u know how we feel] )

Just saw the new FIFA2004 videos... I agree with EA.. this game sure looks better, seems to have a better gameplay (and even somewhat better graphics!... although they were great already.. :) ...

But it seems thats what EA wants us to feel about the new game... and we actually do.... but .... EA, tell me.. how much has it really improved? o will really improve from FIFA2003 ? 10% , 30% better??....

hasnt this been happening for some versions now?...

my point is... what´s the rush EA???? is it really so imperative to bring out a new version every year? is it really? ... im getting the feeling that marketing leads your way EA... costumer feeling doesnt seem as important now.....

I might seem as a not very good FIFA fan... but i´m actually one of the best there can be.... of course from your marketing point of view (like I said, the one that matters...) because, I have bought EVERY SINGLE FIFA game ever made, and have always been looking forward for the next release... and EA u know your succes depends on people like me that whatever the enhancement, we buy the next release of your game...

Fans like me have an obvious love for Soccer... and your game allows us to enjoy it through a PC, console, etc... and yes, it´s maybe the best soccer simulation available...
This soccer fanatism pushes us to buy ur game, but also it allways keep us pointing out where the simulation is completely wrong or could be much much better (a lot of places)... to the point that we ask ourselves if EA really has Hardcore soccer fans on their development team... because it doesnt seem so...

Or maybe u do! but since marketing leads, the rush doesnt allow u guys to improve your game on a bigger % or as you would love to... maybe you´re to busy payng licences (which we love..) and fixed what u can to the last´s year engine and hope we all feel the game is somehow better...

So, why am i worried?... as u now I´ve every single version of the game I love... but my soccer fan frustration took to the dark side...... given all the reviews I read over the net... I bought WE6... and I like it...
I wont say I like more than FIFA, but it has something fifa doesnt... I´m worried because I´ve always brought people into the FIFA series and promoted it so so much... but game is somehow slowing down its progress...

Maybe what we all fans ask as for a great game are extremly difficult things to implement (I know it.. im a programmer my self...) and you would love to implement every single one of them and deliver the best soccer simulation ever...

My final point is... EA, if you would really love to deliver that type of game... I wouldnt mind at all having to wait 1 or 2 full years or even until the PS3 version arrives to have that game... instead of having little peices of improvement every year that frustate all of us...

I know im not the only one that feels this way...

EA, feel free to contact me to talk about Soccer or development ;) I would love to help out and not only be critical....

(I know I´ve seen only an alpha version of the game... but im talking about the hole serie...)

it´s true... but anyways, how much can we expect from the next one on the series... will it really improve that much...? or will we receive a little more of what EA do with a soccer game.... which will sink them againts other that might advance faster....

The thing is that they have much better time now... Last year they made the WC2002 game. Now there isn't a such game, so they can start with FIFA 2004 right on:)

well I hope they started like from last september, and not right now... even though, if they wanted to really make a good simulation, they have demonstrated that a year its not enought....

No, I hope they are tweaking the already pretty good fifa 2003 engine.. not start a new one like fifa 2002->fifa 2003.

well if they´re tweaking the 2003 engine, even a bigger reason to have more than a year of changes.... which again has before been shown as not enought to have a good simulation...( and avoid basic problems like the "lonely header" in FIFA2003... [DUH!!!!!]... and lots lots more in it every soccer fan has catch up when playing FIFA)

when Fifa 2003 came out they said that the game was 80% towards completion. i hope they were joking cos i would have said nearer 40%, however as long as they do a lot of tweaking with what we've got then its got the potential to be a seriously good game, but there's still a lot of work of do on it and add to it also.

just read the chat session... seems promising... hope everything they promise comes out just as its described...
I also hope they work until they can come up with a product as fun as it always has been an as realistic as we Hardcore soccer funs expect from a company as big as EA.... just as I´ve said... if u need more time, please take it!!!

by the way EA (just a personal wish...), if you´re putting up an "American Championship" , cuald you put in it teams from Mexico ? if u check out the lasr 5 years of "Copa Libertadores" you´ll see we´ve been good counterparts, even got to a final and a couple of semifinals.... (Cruz Azul & America specifically)
