EA Sports' broken promise

What really is starting to be frustrating is that almost none of the patches/editors/utils/updates are working. They make the game crash sooner or later.
How is that possible? I mean, didn't EA sports state in a official press release that the games from now on would become more editor-friendly: and look what they've brought....

It sounds like a broken promise to me: This CC that is comin' up better be damn good, otherwise the fun in the game is completely gone, if it hasn't already.

So, to make me feel a bit better, which patches and utils do work for the game and I'm not talkin' about no Russian music extractor, here.

I'm becoming a little concerned about this, i'm thinking of not patch the game with a portuguese superleague patch due to the many issues that patching have this year...

No i think this year is the easist to edit for me last year i could do nothing but now i can and have put nearly everything out there

Could you tell me how to add walls to the pitch then?

The game isn't really that tough to edit in terms of variables and textures, but is nearly impossible for actual modding.

Taking something that's there already and editing a thing or two is pretty easy in EA's games, and for the most part that's all we really ever need to do. Adding something that isn't there from the start has proven to be extremely difficult, although it doesn't seem like it should be.

Yeah My Fifa05 is Origninal no Kits Nothing but i wont Install anything because Just in case My Game Crashes and i wot be able to finish my Carrer off.;)

The good thing is that all your data, and saved files is left if you have to uninstall it, then at least you can try a few things, but most of the time it crashes for me... :(

Glad to see it isn't just me or my computer...

Anyway, one guy from Australia and one from El Salvador don't seem to have any troubleshooting with updates/editting:

X-plain, because the original F'05 isn't realy up to date anymore. I mean, AZ is leading the Dutch league, Charisteas transferred from Werder Bremen to Ajax Amsterdam, etc, asf, asf, asf.....
The only thing, so far, that has worked is the Netherlands national team patch, from Paul Appleget/Donovanfan3456.

What did you and what did you not install? And when I mean edits, I mainly mean data, because the graphic updates aren't that important to me.

maybe "a little bit" is edited, but not "most".

please tell me what exactly you've edited.

well Rabsy, compared to some other guys, that's not much.

try adding some NEW teams to your game. try cpu enabling substitutions. try changing the cpu's attacking style, or goalie ability. try messing around with the game speed and referee strictness. try importing some banners and transition logos. add some new stadiums. then tell me if your game is running smoothly.

Well what I suggest is wait a little longer before trying to edit the whole part of the game. It`s still in early stages of the game editing scene for FIFA 2005. Patchers need to adapt to new formats and stuffs, that`s why all the editing made can`t be 100 % workin` with the game. Wait for three months or so when all the problems feedback has been solved.

I cannot even edit the balls and boots... the game crashes back to windows, and i need to reinstall the entire game again :(
