officialy no, there is no propmtion relegation system between the leagues. They play eachother in Cups, but Rochester had performed so well and drawn so many fans that they are planning on moving to the MLS in 2006 season where they belong.

Of course not:kader:

OK seriously speaking, I have no idea. But to be honest, I think they have a good enough team to make it to the MLS. The Montreal Impact should be there too, but they need to attract more fans:(

Rochester had to defeat at least 1 MLS club on their way to the 1999 US Open Cup championship.

I'm hoping that Rochester is added to MLS in 2006 but any expansion by the league will continue to be conservative. Paetec Park and a history of drawing 11K+ per game are 2 huge positives for the Rhinos and their fans and would difficult for the league to overlook.

Looking forward to 2005 I'm confident that Chivas USA will draw 25K+ at the HDP but the Galaxy will also have to continue to draw if the expansion in LA is to be considered successful.

Real Salt Lake will have to draw at least as well as the Rapids and Wizards. With the fan base around Salt Lake City I think RSL will do well. Those Mormons couples have something like 10-15 kids a piece - every family outing is a group sale! :D

The most important thing for the league is to continue to build soccer-specific stadiums. FC Dallas comes on line next season and the Fire will raise the barn for the burners in 2006.

On a different note, anybody else notice that DaMarcus Beasley is tearing it up for PSV Eindhoven? And, I can't wait until Landon Donovan transfers to Bayer Leverkeusen even though it will crush San Jose.

we actually have like a .500 recored against MLS teams, in 1999 we beat 2 staright MLS teams to win the US Open Cup, we beat New England this year in the Open Cup. We were runner-up in 1996, which was the teams first season in the Open Cup. We've won the A-league 3 times, and have made the playoffs every year. We also beat Chicago in a friendly but you can't really count that. Man, I could go on and on about the team in my heart playing against MLS teams, but I'll stop here.

EDIT: I went on a few sites and determined that our record agaisnst MLS teams is 7 wins and 6 losses with 20 goals for and 21 goals against. I'd say that is deserving of being able to play in the MLS.
