OK, but when i decided to make the pass to the free man the ref signaled OFFSIDE!! :jap:
the ref considered the rule of the receiver being closer to goal than last defender to be offside and forgot to aknowledge the fact that the psser is also closer to goal !!

That is offsides, I'm almost positive.

Anyways, this is a referee mistake, or it's just a PC Version glitch, because I've had it called both ways (offsides, and not offsides) in my PS2 version on various occassions. I play long balls over the top to forwards a lot on counter attacks, so this happens a lot. I've succeeded 4 out of 5 times, but there were a few times when it was called. I think it makes it more interesting, because it is a referee mistake rather than a code mistake.

Perfectly calm my friend, absolutley no anger at all. Notice I tried to use reason in my post? I didnt mean to cause offence when I said 'liar', but I can see how it could. But I dont believe you would have bought the game and threw it away in frustration, so please tell us the truth of it.

I swear by the closest thing to me in this world (My Family) that I bought both games... now you believe me...

I played PSE5 for 3 days, then I got bored from it... I didn't like anything about it (My taste only, no hate or anything to any PES fan).

I didn't even play online!

but for Fifa 06, whenever I want to have a break from anything, I start the game and go online... I love beating people and collecting tokens :P the realism of the game is astonishing.

I'm a digital designer, maybe that's why I liked Fifa more... Their graphics and special effects attracted me like never game has ever done to me before! :hump:

Now, Did you buy the games?

Take into account that PES still allows subs to be made on ANY dead ball situation. That happens always so I figure that's a bigger basic error than the problem in this thread which I've never seen in hundreds of games!

To be fair, sa33od, you did say that PES being lame was FACT. It's all about opinion. Personally every FIFA after 03 makes me want to gowge my eyes out with a rusty fork covered with acid and then dip them in my own faeces and eat them, but that's just my opinion. PES imo is a lot more realistic, yes the refereeing is bollox, but the rest is just awesome. FIFA used to be the best, but no longer IMO.

I never played PES , and always love FIFA series -despite all there problems- but before months, when i sow that all the web is talking about PES I said to my self "maybe I'm wrong, why not trying to play this game". I played it, and the result : I HATED IT MORE: stupid foul system, miserable free kick system, strange pass system ...
I'll never try that game again...

The foul system is wank, but the free kick system is awesome, mainly because it's not a "system" as such (like in FIFA) but something where you can do what you want. There isn't a stupid aim target thing, you just have to use your own judgement like in real life.

I don't know what you find strange about the pass system, maybe you're just not used to it.

I'll tell you how I love PES. Anything is possible in it, there are so many different types of goal you can score, ticks you can do. It's so free flowing. FIFA feels like it's forcing you to do stuff.

I do think they made a slight mistake with this years PES, but it still gives me everything I want that I can't get from FIFA.

My question was wether you bought the game then threw it away as you said. So did you throw it away?
And me? I bought Fifa but downloaded PES5. OK?
I might throw PES5 away as I think I have had it with the frustrations and I wanted to see if it was worth me buying it, but I did not buy it so it wont hurt to throw it away. But I wouldnt throw Fifa away even if I dint like it as Ive spent money on it.
