A pretty crazy finish. AZ fans must be pretty sick though. All they needed was a win over a relegated side (I think) to secure the title... and they blew it.

I think that I know a worse way to lose a league title losing the last 2 matches and a final because a points drew... bad memories

That's worse than Shalke dropping the title to Bayern a couple years back on the last day. And I thought that they have a play-off or something to decide this stuff in Netherlands. What do they use that play-off for anyways?

The playoff is mostly to decide who gets the spots in the european cups. With a spot in the CL reserved for the champion, and a spot in the UEFA cup reserved for the cup winner.

2nd through 5th fight for the 3rd qualification round spot in the CL, with the losers going into the UEFA cup. 6th through 9th fight for the final UEFA cup spot, with the loser of the...

Everyone disagrees with this system which was first used last season. It s*cks, because before you know it a club like FC Twente(with all do respect) reaches the CL.

Playoffs are bs. I cant understand why every Eredivisie except PSV voted in favour of the playoffs.

I can't understand Kessler (big KNVB boss ) either, first he states the team that's nr.1 after 34 matches deserves the championship. Why is the nr.2 after 34 matches not certain of their CL qualification spot.

Oh yes, me too. Playoffs are great, if the league setup is changed to 3x12 teams. Like this it's just a waste of energy.
