here are the screenshots of the new grass, folks. There's one with the nets too

Not bad, but why has the turf so strange dots now? And what is that for a day time? sunny, no or? The screens are very dark, how overcast.

i think it's overcast, it has the sensation to be like on a dark sky and the strange dots.. looks like duong wanted to give a "grass" sensation.. which looks great on the close ups but not that great on the in-game cam... but i don't know, i like it (:

Hi again thanks for the advice but I still cant get it to work, I have XP pro 32 bit version. I tried different extractors but still the same thing happens, I click one of the patches and the command prompt blinks for a sec and disappears and nothing is patched. I also have fifa 09 installed on the same drive and I have a performance patch installed for that from before could that be effecting the installation??

This is the only thing that I could find that sounded like a similar problem.

I think the new turf and nets look spot on. Great job.

The croud looks very dark if I could pick anything, specially on 3rd and 4th shot down. A couple of shades lighter would be awesome.

why would you want it lighter, its meant to look real, its meant to look like a real pitch that has nice lushous grass and freshly cut and therefore parts will be lighter than others.

That would just be my personal preference. I love the grass feshly cut by the victor lawnmower, Agreed, the pitch wud obviously want to be lighter than the crowd.

I did say a shade or 2 lighter not a huge increase like your implying!

I dislike the fact that that idea even came up in your mind.

There's no black dots, guys. That's what happens to short 3D grass looking from high above. Turf is sunny, and the colour is exactly the same as before, but if you'd like it brighter i'll have that done.

i wouldnt say brighter mate, it looks fine as it is, afterall, you had to come away from the not very nice mega bright green pitch you had before, so no point in heading back towards that way, is there. i dunno, might be worth giving it a try and get some opinions, one thing you can be sure of is i will give my honest opinion to you, not just like most of the guys on here desperate for the patch to be complete saying yea yea yea anything looks good, i will give my honest opinion mate when i see things.

duong the grass looks realistic but iv been to many football games and that gras is never like that, its more clean and sticks out, look at monkeydragns grass patch, maybe u could get a idea from his 1

To be honest I don't like the new grass, the texture is awful (my opinion).
It's irritating for the eyes.

Actually this kind of grass could fit well for the stadiums like euro and uk style. You know, those ones for lower league matches etc. Or maybe the practice arena. It'll make it look like a real field practice. Duong if you put them in the practice arena maybe it'll match the realism a bit more than professional stadiums as stadiums keep shorter and neatly mowed grass.

By the way, a guy in the previous page said he downloaded the patch now. Is any new update available or is he talking about the beta 0.5?
