Duff specifically requested that "You'll Never Walk Alone" be played before the Ireland game in Dublin yesterday.

nape, it came on after the national anthem and the announcer said 'this is a special request from damien duff'

so.....liverpool are so not logical....blackburn want 20 milllion pound....then liverpool will not have enough for players like cisse and boumsong....who they really really really need...!

yea...it's been mostly rumours...and i'm biased so i only post those that sounds like music to my ears :D seems like sourpuss souness is trying to stall for a large fee but his board would deffo not look away from a £12-15m offer either

anyway, update is the negotiations ARE ongoing

Reds agree Finnan deal

Liverpool Football Club has today confirmed that they have agreed terms with Fulham FC for Republic of Ireland International Steve Finnan.

Chief Executive Rick Parry told Liverpoolfc.tv: "We have agreed terms with both the club and the player and plan to complete the transfer at the end of this month.

"Steve is a very talented player who we were eager to bring to Anfield, we are pleased that he has agreed to join us and look forward to seeing him in action next season."

Finnan will become Gerard Houllier's first summer signing when he officially puts pen to paper on his Anfield contract and will provide genuine competition for Jamie Carragher for the right back berth.

However, Carragher remains undaunted by the prospect of battling for his place, saying: "What can you do? Liverpool are a big club and if think this is an area which needs improving they will try to improve it. It is up to them.

"There have been a few defenders who have come and left because I've been in their position and there have been bigger names than Steve."
