Dribbling, and "moves" on the xbox..

Despite what I have read in the official forums over at ea for FIFA 04, the dribbling does work. I have performed the following in practice situations with no defenders, and then 11 v 8 :

360 spin which is really the Garrincha

Rivolino (step over, pushing the ball with the outside of the foot)

Cruijff or Cruyff if you dont speak Dutch... lol...

and sole of foot control...

Pull backs are easy to pull off, but only serve to shield the ball from the defenders while they are in front of you... you'll basically stop the ball , pull it back, and turn at the same time.. shielding the ball from him...

Thats all I have so far...
Needless to say, the manual is wrong about the ONE TWO pass... I havent figured it out yet... so if anyone does please post.

i agree

I agree with you on that. I have not played any of the other soccer games, but I did download the demo of PES 3. I liked the action a good bit. The passing seems a little better. Its just the demo, so I dont know about the graphics on the full version of it, but in my opinion, FIFA has PES3 in the respect.

I would like to have more control over the players. I mean, if the game activates one of my players that I passed it to, and the ball goes past him, but closer to the other player, the original receiver of the pass is still under control and I cant switch to the closer player. Go figure...

is PES3 and the Winning Eleven the same game ?

Well, the manual says..

I'll quote the manual for the US Xbox version...

On page #5 of the manual it states :

One-two pass A then black button then A / Y / X

on page #6 of the manual it states :

To play a one-two pass with your teammate, Press A to play the first pass, press BLACK to continue running, then press A for a ground pass, Y for a through ball, or X for a lob pass back to the original passer.

I obviously mis-interpreted the use of the one-two pass. I was under the assumption that you could actually control the player that passed the first ball... darn..

Thanks for clarifying this, as it does work the way it is actually describe in the manual. It doesnt say double tap the black button though... again.. thanks..

THERE are three types of people in the world

Ones that look infront of them
ones that look infront and down the road
and ones that look down the road and beyond

THINK FOR 1 minute ONE TWO PASS

GET ThE BALL, PASS IT TO A PLAYER, SEND THE PLAYER ON RUN, PASS IT BACK TO HIM

THERES NOT 1-2 PASS button that does all of it for you

THERE ARE 2 buttons, PASS BUTTON and MAKE PLAYER RUN BUTTON, YOU USE THOSE TWO to create a 1-2 pass

what the ....

What was your post supposed to be about ? If you read my last post regarding the problem, it had been corrected. My problem was that I didnt read the words for what they were.

In the future, your all caps posts aren't needed, unless they are actually helpful. Thanks for the thought though...
