It's a shame that you can't create custom tournaments anymore.

If you really need this feature it is very easy to get it back

Go in FIFA16/data/ui/layout and you will find a file named mainhubcfg.xml
This file is the one that creates the special modified CP16 menu.

Just rename the file as you want (ex.: CPmainhubcfg.xml) and regenerate (when you install a decade regeneration is automatically done) using FIFA16/REGEN.exe.

Then you will have the standard (ugly and cahotic) default FIFA menu including the create tournament option as usual but with the teams of the CP16 patch. Of course don't use it for career or other then available options that probably will make the game crash. Just as you wish, for custom tournaments.

When you want to come back to the real CP16 menu just rename the file as the original name, regenerate and you are back.

Happy again?

PS: There are so many real historical tournaments.. and others coming in the future... May I suggest to enjoy the incredible job they did (the main creators) before going in fantasy custom tournaments? But if you want, now you know how.

Si confermo il tuo merito... anche se in realtà non ti ho copiato. Lo ho fatto da capo... autonomamente e molto differente in realtà, per esigenze differenti, inclusa la cancellazione integrale di alcune cartelle, la rigenerazione automatica ecc, ma l'idea originale di usare quello di FIP (anche se lo ho stravolto) è tua.

Se peraltro volessi implementarlo o altro posso mandarti il codice in privato.

l'ho modificato anche io, ma sono a un punto morto.. in teoria il tasto "play" dovrebbe far partire lo stadium server ma non ho idea di come assegnarlo.

e poi tu sei stato piu' bravo xche' gli hai cambiato l'icona e a mettere l'immagine di sfondo che io invece non sono stato capace a fare..

No I don't REALLY need it. I like to have the option available as it makes it possible to use other teams not in the UCL in tournament mode, such as the UEFA cup. I was merely expressing an opinion, a suggestion if you will, rather than a criticism.

the new dbs I was talking about were those of the classic patch 3.0.

in my career db there are problems with some new national teams that I haven't yet managed to resolve / for now I don't know how to resolve and with the DDR championship which I'm redoing from scratch. furthermore it is no longer compatible with the classic patch 3.0 because the country table has been revolutionized so I also have to fix this for all the players from the old nations (Yugoslavia, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, etc..). it's a patch of my own, I'm doing everything myself, I also have to convert all the db of the classic patch 14, so it takes a long time

Nope mate, the idea was not to hurry you dont worry I was just wondering what was going on with this project, so this would.never be released anyway? Personally I m mostly interested in for onyl belgian and french leagues of this season, since italian is already in CP.

I honestly waited for the release of the classic patch 14 to have more players and therefore more correct ids, but in reality in the latest version of cp14 they were released a lot fewer teams than I expected, especially from the 70s and 80s. because I'm tired I'm using google translate, so some words might be translated badly..

Yes there is fewer new teams from others countries, I m hoping at a point for à development of further rounds of champions cup, some more from uefa cups and cup winners cup but I think we are more going to see 72 x Barca, 65 x Dortmund, 84 x psg etc fo4 à.long time

Wait... you really misunderstood me... I didn't say anything against you and my previous YOU was not just YOU singular RonBurgundy, but YOU GUYS plural, because I have noticed that some people misunderstood the philosophy of the patch itself.

In my idea, not yet approved by the main authors of the CP I would consider different versions of the Classic Patch to satisfy different kind of players.. Because there is who cares about historical accuracy and details like me (and many of my things or ideas are not yet included, we can surprise you guys even more in the future) and others who care about fantasy matches like Italy 1934 against Bayern Munchen 1995...Or some liking only the '90s and club competitions and others like me caring more about national teams, world cups and so on.

What I mean is that it is really difficult to satisfy with a single patch everybody... but behind this patch there is a huge job of few people working on it and I just suggest to appreciate it caring about what can be done, more than about what is not (yet) available.

Another and better option to create new tournaments is just to open Creation Master and create new tournaments there.

A good way if I can suggest, to do it without damaging the original patch is ...

1. Go in the folder CP16 in the main FIFA16 folder and inside you have a folder version with all the decades inside
2. Choose the decade you want to add tournaments in... example 1990s and duplicate the decade folder calling it as you want.. MyTournaments or My1990s (as you wish).
3. Launch as usual with PLAY CP16 and you will have the Version Manager. The new folder will then appear in the selection menu.
4. Install and then close the FIFA Launcher instead of playing.
5. Create the new tournament(s) in Creation Master 16, and delete the ones you don't want, or modify some of them save and then copy the FULL modified DLC folder (and only that) from the FIFA16 main root to your new folder created in CP16/version (the one you called MyTournaments or as you wish). Then copy the data/db folder to the data folder of your new created folder in CP16 version.
6. Restart the game with PLAY CP16 choose your new modified decade/folder and enjoy your new tournament.
   
   In this way your original Classic Patch remains untouched.
   
   NB when you open with CM 16 don't use the default call for FIFA16 but the language db call and choose en_US because remember that the game is only in English and if you change something you should do it in the English version.
   
   NB A league can never be the ONLY tournament without a CUP in DLC or the game will crash.
   
   NB in case you want to have a custom image in the version manage for your new folder as the nice ones for the decades you see now ... look for a file called poster in you new folder and change it as you wish (256×256)
