I think I got it. I extracted the classic patch to "Game" and now I have to extract everything in the patch under "game" to the Fifa 14/Game folder. Except for the db-dlc rars with the decades in their names. Then I will regen with CM 14 and hopefully not get Messi again.

So I regen with CM 14. Strangely when it showed all of the icons it said it was empty. Anyway, it said it was regenerating. Then I went to DB-dlc and extracted it and to overwrite. These files are in Fifa/Game/Classic Patch. So I clicked on overwrite and then went to the game. Still have Messi on there and with teams from Fifa14.

You need to unzip the patch inside the FIFA 14 folder. Don't copy everything into a "classic 10.0" folderCaps of three folders:
