But that formation is full of errors...@GIGGIRIVA
i hope you don't mind me reporting issues with certain teams, since i have another feedback:
- 1994/1995 barcelona has wrong formation and some players have wrong squad numbers (these are the numbers some players usually had: bakero #6, romario #10, nadal #20, sergi #12, guardiola was #3, lopetegui #22, angoy #13, cruyff #14, etc.).
detailed info about barcelona in 1994/1995 season is here:

Officially the Soviet Union has been recognized in football since 1952. So here we enter fantasy and I don't love the fantasy team.Hey GIGGIRIVA, just wondering if you plan to add any pre-1954 Soviet Union teams to the patch? Would love the chance to play as some of these early Soviet pioneers to see how they perform against the “bourgeois” teams Please let me know if any of this research has been helpful to you.
Love legends like this. Imagine being part of your national team in 3 sports and considered one of the greatest in each.20 CF, ST Vsevolod Bobrov (already in database)
please don't remove Romario from this team. he was at least until january an essential part of this team. But that formation is full of errors...
At that time, Barcelona played with many formations also due to numerous absences. they played practically the whole season with a single forward since in January Romario will leave (so in theory I should eliminate him from the team) Mainly 5 starting defenders played only that Nadal was often deployed in the midfield but many times the 5 defense was deployed (in that 'article Nadal is not even proposed among in starting team despite 29 appearances in the league). The only change I can make is to remove Guardiola and put Joahn Cruyff as right winger and implement a 4-2-3-1. Guardiola played relatively little and often, if I remember correctly, Iglesias plays in place of him. I can't remove Amor and Bakero because they practically played all the games. The patch cannot claim the absolute fidelity of a training and a module but it meets the most used men. If Barcelona had 5 defenders among the starters, I have to put 5 defenders. Then it's up to us to remember that Nadal also played in the midfield but was practically an advanced defender.
as I remember he does squads from spring, so that's why Ronaldo is in Milan 2006-07 and not Real Madridplease don't remove Romario from this team. he was at least until january an essential part of this team.
Given that the patch had a lot of emphasis on UCL finals and playoffs and only then going back to group stage, I think it's perfectly fine to have all squads "as of May of that year" to be consistent with transfer windows.as I remember he does squads from spring, so that's why Ronaldo is in Milan 2006-07 and not Real Madrid
At the moment I keep it. He was sold to Flamengo which will not be created as a single season team so I can turn a blind eye. Had he been sold directly to Valencia then I shouldn't have taken him off.please don't remove Romario from this team. he was at least until january an essential part of this team.
The Vagner Love issue is complex but not an exception. He was part of CSKA's squad in both 2009 and 2010. Not in UCL period having gone away in August 2009 and returned in July 2010. He would be out of the UEFA fixtures but in the Russian season in both seasons, so he is part of the team with all rights having played the 2009 season with 13 goals and 3 goals and the 2010 season with 15 goals and 9 goals. It is the complexity of the teams that play in the calendar year (russia, norway, sweden). We must also take into account the statistics of June, July and August. A period in which the rest of Europe does not play and thinks about the transfer market.Given that the patch had a lot of emphasis on UCL finals and playoffs and only then going back to group stage, I think it's perfectly fine to have all squads "as of May of that year" to be consistent with transfer windows.
However, Giggi has been making some exceptions (like Vagner Love in CSKA 09-10), who personally I think shouldn't be there either because he's a huge player, but left in January.
Valid points. The Vagner Love issue is complex but not an exception. He was part of CSKA's squad in both 2009 and 2010. Not in UCL period having gone away in August 2009 and returned in July 2010. The championship structure on a calendar year is a big problem. On normal FIFA, EA updates every now and then and everyone is happy, updated squads thinking about the present. Here, having to make teams of the season, it gets tough. When a player leaves in January in a European championship, he arrives in the middle of the season. While in the Russian or Swedish team he arrives during the championship's stoppage period, at the end of the season. It's hard. Because as in the case of Vidic, a player is the protagonist with both shirts. Big issue...Valid points.
However personally I think for the sake of uniformity, going by "as of May of that year" is the best way for all leagues, just "after winter transfers" and judging the teams by "uefa" seasons.
I personally will keep Vagner Love in reserves but when playing against CSKA 09-10 the AI will always use him (because he's a high rated player), but in real life he never played in UCL 09-10 knockout stage for CSKA.
It's like Nemanja Vidic who signed for Man Utd in January 2006, would not be playing for Spartak 2005-06 if the two teams played in CP14.
But ultimately up to you, sure. Just 2 cents.
Yeah. So at least in my personal edits I follow the rule of "squads as of May of that year".Big issue...
