Numbers entering the international and domestic cups will decrease. There are 9,076 in the Grand Mountain Cup. That is £9,076 Managerzone have made. Of course, this will be distributed into wages, domain name, bandwith, and such to keep Managerzone running.
Benefit of cups, pre-modified
Disadvantages of less spectators
I can't bear to think how the numbers entering cups will decrease. I can only anticipate the crew will concede and give every nation a domestic cup to make up for the lost numbers.
The crew are correct. I shouldn't have to pay to be successful. Look at Chelsea, days away from administration, whisked away by a Russian businessman - An anology for the mafia. No skill has been involved in Chelsea's relatively short-term 'success' of attracting players because it's come from an 'oil tycoon' (Tax dodger and drugs baron more like!)
I propose the sign-up system is modified. Instead of having to fork out £1.00 a go for cups, we should pay with our MZ assets. £50,000 will be an adequate figure to sign up. Just like in the football league how they pay a registration fee to play in the domestic competition, cups and leagues.
If we decide to sign up for a cup, £50,000 (or the equivalent abroad given the exchange rates) will be taken out of our clubs assets to pay. We're not using out national currency from mobile phones to make money, but taking a gamble by taking it out of our team.
Consequently, the prizes will become a lot less glamorous. Infact, possibly non-existant, and a sufficient prize to me would be a hefty earner £500,000 for a cup win would be nice.
Of course, the only income for the crew to fund Managerzone would be from; Mz live / analyser; Friendly leagues; new members registering. With no Grand Mountain Cup, Managerzone would have been down by £9,076. That is just one cup. From all the nations, and around two cups per month, I would wager the income would be near £75,000 for the crew.

What would you want?
1) A much more balanced system where members like Hooper are restricted to making a mockery of the SMS system. Erm, I mean, club income. Consequently, the prizes will be a lot less glamourous and the crew would need to find an income from elsewhere.
2) An inbalanced system where members can sign up for friendly leagues, cups, and also use the challenge system to make quite an income which is used to buy players, expand the capacity and facilities at your stadium and so on, paying £1.00 a pop at the cup, but receiving glamorous prizes.

Benefit of cups, pre-modified
- You had a decent turn out. I got 775 at one point which was a nice income.
- The chance to turn £1 sign-up into glamorous prizes.
Disadvantages of less spectators
- Less income on match days.
