I have FA Premier League Stars 2001, which is better than any of the FIFA's. EA should have taken that game and add the new passing system to that to save the developers a whole lot of time from making FIFA 2002

Yep, but the main thing about Pemier All stars 2001 was that it was the second or third? of the English EA releases that actually had major changes in the passing and ball control system as opposed to the main stream Fifa series, along with all the Premier League Stadiums which was a huge plus for the game, and altho it needed another release this year 'Which was scrapped' to iron out a few niggles in there it is still a winner in the EA football stakes, it needed the 32 bit graphic options, minor alterations to the passing\shooting system, the main national leagues and International setups plus more stadiums that were missing in the main Fifa series and the game would have been a sure thing world wide winner, now what a crying bloody shame that the bean counters at EA decided to toss this series to the scrapheap..
SCTW .. mate a few months ago you posted a message about another Football game that was being handled by the German Div of EA, has there been any progress on that release or has that one also been dumped by EA, the reason that i ask is due to the fact that i have misplaced the link to the main dev site ... Ned

Ned:

Unfortunately i do not have a link to that site. i wish i did becuase back then, the screenshots were impressive, and I would like to see what progress has been made.

and yes, all those stadiums in FAPLS 2001 were a huge plus. *sigh*

Well you are outnumbered on your argument. That's probably because you have the OLD version. FAPLS 2001 was definitely a class game.

SCTW, thanks anyway, i might just have to do a search thro' the forum archives for that url, and yes the earlier details about that game sure did look to be very promising ..................
daveblondie2, are you meaning the 2001 release or the earlier versions, perhaps you have been playing the earlier ones and also if you have a Gforce2 x 64 meg video card you can now play the 2001 version in 1600x1200 'maybe higher' by doing some very simple and basic editing to the 3doptions.dat file, as shown below and it is a pity that we can't get RTWC and WC98 to display in this mode, if we could we would have the best of the Fifa series in super display modes ...
