i have played 15 matches
great work, the cpu is more intelligent , defend better (i 'd love more aggressive too) then version 1.6 , it's more difficult to surprend the cpu with counterattacks.
cpu attack (perhaps more tiki taka then 1.6) the game of the cpu is various and they make a lot of wrong passes.
their counter attacks are goods and very realistics.
fouls : may be that my slides are wrong or i don't know which is the problem but in 15 matches i have received 48 fouls (more and less 3 for game )
if it is possible it would be wonderful if the cpu were more aggressive
i like it , i think it's a great work

i like it , i think it's a great work

I have yet to play enough games to provide concrete feedback, but I also think that fouls may need tweaking. I seem to be experiencing not enough fouls though. I was in the 60th minute of a match and I looked at the stats to see that neither myself nor the CPU had a single foul. I decided to try and commit a foul to see if they were being called at all... it was not easy. I had to eventually slide in and take out a players legs. So ref strictness may need tweaking -- at least IMO.

Aside from that, I think that the gameplay is excellent. I have only used the AI mod (as opposed to the db as well) for all my test games but the first. This is because I have a career I'm enjoying. The AI gp mod (just the cl.ini) yielded much better physics and player movement than before. There is also more variety in CPU attack. There are some suggestions I'd like to make, though:

- At times the player I am controlling will strafe when a ball is in the air as opposed to turning and sprinting. It's almost as if I am unable to control the ball until it has reached a point where I will not be first to the ball.

- Similar the comment above is a delay regarding loose balls. It seems like sometimes I cannot move my player within a certain radius of a player if a ball is on it's way in. It's as though a forcefield arises and makes me wait so that the opposing player can receive the pass.

- The last of my comments is actually a question: Are the slider settings you suggest still valid? I think that they may need to be updated, because the ball speed was causing problems til I bumped it up to 45. Additionally, the pictures of your slider settings only showed a few of them. Are those values which are not pictured to be set at default?

All-in-all, this is the best gameplay mod I've played. I actually had a match with 50-50 possession... I was so thrilled ;).

PS: I almost forgot to mention that I think adaptive difficulty can only be disabled via the product.ini file. I removed this code from the cl.ini, changed adaptive difficulty to '0' (off), saved and regenerated. After doing so, I think that the scripting stopped completely. Just something you may want to look into.

1.6 with Moddingway is so awesome! The game is slow, well balanced, however it is way TOO EASY! AI doesn't fight to get the ball, it's too easy to snaffle that up as well. Additionally, the defence line is too high and there is too many one on one with the keeper during the game. I played on Legendardy and I've scored 20 goals in three matches :facepalm: How to get a good, slow gameplay like it is in 1.6, but get computer playing more advanced, or just normally like it should play on World Class or Legendary?

If you look at the files in the 'DB - AI - Installer' folder, you will see two other versions of 1.6... one has an 'H' for hard and the other is tagged '_insane' for really hard. I was killing it on 1.6, but with a few tweaks to 1.6H I was able to achieve relatively balanced gameplay. You should check out 2.0 when it is available. If you just make the same changes that were made from 1.6 to 1.6H (except changing the values within the 2.0 cl.ini), you should get a challenge :)

BTW: have you adjusted any in-game sliders? I have found that tinkering with them can help. Check out operationsports.com and look for the Community Sliders thread. A guy with the tag Matt10 provides invaluable game balancing sliders. Having said that, you may need to adjust them some to compensate for Fidels GP mod.

I was wondering this very thing. The changes listed in the latest update (1.05) are virtually all gameplay related, as opposed to the usual FUT tweaks.

I have played 10 games with the latest AI 2.0 mod (although the last one was after the update)so I thought I'd give some more feedback:

- I am playing a career, and so all of my testing aside from one match was done without the full db+ini combo. I play on WC, 15min, slow, all manual controls except for assisted saves and air ball player switching rather than full manual. I have used three different slider sets while testing: one with all default, one with your slider suggestions, and one from Matt10 at OS sports. As I mentioned earlier, I am unclear as to what your suggested sliders are.

- The physics are great at times. There are cool new player animations, more realistic movement, and better balance regarding possession etc... Whereas before I was happy to get 42% possession, I am now closer to 48-50%.

- The physics are bizarre at times. There are times when I am just completely unable to control a player. It seems as if the game decides how some series of passes is going to occur, and I am either unable to get the player to respond (or he just lets the ball roll by) or else my player will strafe for ~2-3 seconds before reacting and running onto the ball.

- I am scoring (and conceding) too many goals. My games are ending 4-2, 5-1, 4-4, 6-0 etc... The issue is that it is easy to score breakaway goals once you get the lead.

- I would like to see a bit more dribbling and particularly skill moves by the CPU. While they may knock the ball on or cut back, you never see thing like step overs or no touch dribbling (or very rarely).

Anyway, I hope I don't give the impression that it is not an excellent mod. I figure that you'd rather here about what might be improved, but you have made the best gp mod I've tried so far. So if you feel it's good as is, I won't argue ;)

I would really appreciate your answer to my question about sliders, half length, etc...

I think this is your best gp, a really great job, and finally the AI ​​'improved in many aspects!

Only 3 matchs for me, but seems to be the best mod i've played. Very good balanced. Many changes in the rythm of the match with High and low time. All the matchs finished with tied score (1-1; 2-1;0-1). The ai cpu alternate pressing and placed defense. All seems more organic and realistic. Very impressed for the moment. I need to play more...

Just played a few games and I think the animation is the best change
But still a few problem such as the CPU pass error I still think too low, I think the real match a normal team pass accuracy is 70%-80%, only the stronger team can touch more than 85%, but now all teams can 80%-90%.(my pass error slider is 60) and the CB back is slower than my ST so that I can make 2 VS 1 or 2 VS GK so easy
