Do the players "feel" different?

Hey guys. Can't run the demo on my aging computer but this is a question I have and I think the answer will be of interest. One thing I very much dislike in FIFA 2005 is the way all the players feel the same. Whether you're using a big powerful striker like Adriano or a finesse-based center-forward like Henry, your tactics for scoring are the same. Hell, you could put a midfielder with a strong shot (Lampard) up as a lone striker and the game would not play noticeably differently. Get a midfield duo of Roy Keane and Zidane, if you turned the name things off you can't tell the difference. Same goes for your opposition - they're all the same. This is of course ridiculous - imagine a basketball game where Shaquille O'Neal and Dwyane Wade were interchangable!

I'm curious if this is different in the demo. Do Cristiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs "feel" different? When they are controlled by the CPU, do they do different things? Do you noticed a difference between taking on Puyol and taking on Gary Neville? Thanks guys, I think this will be an interesting discussion.

I gave Ballack a lot of room in the midfield and just like real life he was shooting all kinds of garbage wide of the net from 30+ yards.

Playing against Rooney he will definatly go all out like a madman to get a goal and Ruud is pretty lethal from anywhere in the 18 when he has an open shot.

When I'm controlling the player I haven't noticed as much difference but I've only played an hour.

Playing against opposition is better, because wingers normally get to the byline and cross, strikers are pretty leathal, fullbacks overlap. Shevchenko sometimes comes a little deep to shoot from distance, Ruud is a predator..so yes, but when you control them, it doesn't feel all that different.

Well Ronaldinho feels great...im not sure about you guys but his acceleration is craaazy! And one time i was controlling him (damn i hate barca ) with 3/4 people around him he did from nothing one big trick and got past them! I didnt know how i did it but it was sooo damn great! Its deffinatly better then fifa05! WAAAAY better!

yeah well i havent been able to play it but from the video clips ive seen the field definately does look bigger

Sheva is slower in Fifa 06 than he was in Fifa2005, guess he's getting older.

That seriously sucks, that was a mjor complaint I had with 2005, the size of the field.

After about 3 hours with the demo I have to agree. PES is far better at making players feel like what thier stats are when you control them.

Bubble? I know what is PES and what is FIFA, i play both, if you wanna compare it you have a Forum to do that, you guys come here thinking you're going to save us and show us the light... like we don't know both games...
