Do professional soccer players smoke????

I know their professionals and they have to be fit,but I'm sure theres some that smoke.

I don't think that many pro's smoke. I don't think that any are addicted. But Gazza always liked the odd cigar. And i've seen a picture of Bobby Charlton after the 1968 European Cup final with a cigar in his mouth.

It is weird when coaches smoke through matches but i suppose their under a lot of stress(that'd be their excuse).

I'd like to be at one of their games and see how much they smoke during a game.It was Hector Cupo seemed to do at the Champions League final.

Yeah I would have been too. Must have been pretty ****in nerveracking for him.

Lucky they didnt make Champions League next season because if hes still there(can't remember whether hes leaving or not) he'd have lung cancer by the time they made it to the final.

it doesnt really matter if players smoke coz it has no imidiate affect (like booze and drugs) and for some ppl it lifts them so theyd play better...

Frank Rijkaard was famous for lighting up during the haltime break, and in his later days as a player his coaches accepted that.
Most famous smoker of them all was of course Johan Cruyff, who even did TV ad's for a certain cigarette brand. That was until he got his bypass operation of course.....

Another interesting fact that I realised was that In Britain I have never ever seen a Top CLub's manager smoke.In spain and Italy it's totaly different, Hector Cuper smokes(throught the match), Marcelo Lippi Smokes the cigars and many more....weird isn't it?!
