Div 2 YEar 1 Master league

Just got the game and have to say.... cant put the ****er down!
I have a big ******* nightmare though, cant figure out the transfers on season one. i have started with a buch of talentless idiots and need to buy players, i know how to negotiate etc but cant seem be able to afford anyone on season 1! I have about 2654 pts (is that my trasnsfer points?) please explain what leagues etc i am supposed to look into to buy players? or do i have enough to buy anyone yet?

I am tearing my hair out, i have managed only one win in 9 games so far!

please advise me step by step how to get the ball rolling. I am a complete newbie when it comes to ML play, i have played the game though itself for years.

i never sign players in my first season cause you just cant afford it, your best bet is to sign a promising youngster or trade one of you're crap players for a half decent player like arteta from rangers which i did in my first season. to be honest, i still dont understand all the transfer points on pes!

Cheers man, was thinking that. Ya know when you set negotiations and you have 3 fields something like, transfer, salary and length of time to sign him. Say i have 2000 odd points. You go to buy Saha say and the cumilative amount is say 4000... does that mean i cant afford him and if i sign successfully the team will go into minus PES points?

If you get Piliniak (groth player) , let him play about 5-10 mins each game, you get a huge amount of training points to allocate to him after each game. By the end of a season he's a freaking superstar.

Thanks Wolf, will do that tonight, i might just strt off the season again and do it right this time. Piliniak is my first buy. I am finding it tough to link any play at all with my current batch of players. They really are abismal.

if you've got 2000 and buy someone for 4000 then you go to minus 2000, i think once your -10,000 then you go bust and its game over or if you start the new season in debt then your ****ed! your just aswell waiting for your 2nd season before you make a few signings.

Thanks, appreciated lads. Great fookin game though eh? How much PES points should i try and achieve for the end of season one on Div 2? Just so i know i am on the right track?

Oh and can you set team training for all players or just growth? What do any of you recommend to do with the players i start with? Is there anything i can do to evenslightly improve them?

Best advice, unfortunately, is not to buy anyone in your first year. Just trudge your way through it, trying to pick up as many points as possible.

The only time I'd recommend making transfers during your first season is if you can pull off an exchange of players, this way you don't have to spend too much money. You have very few saleable assets with the scrubs you start out with in ML, but give it a chance. Some teams might be willing to take some of the better players off your hands.

But if that's not feasible, just wait until the transfer window opens up at the end of the season to try to get out of loan players on free transfers. Frankly, try to get whoever you can. This is the best way to acquire quality players early on, since you don't have to shell out extraordinary amounts of money on transfers.

You'll also be able to pick up someone on a free transfer the first week in the off-season, but after that everyone will be signed and you'll have to acquire players via transfer fees. Which, at this point in your ML career, you probably won't be able to do.

Also keep in mind that if you're languishing in Division 2 it'll be more difficult to lure players from Division 1. You have a much better chance to luring players from Division 2, so when you enter the market keep that in mind.

Everyone here seems to be saying don't buy players, but in my first season, by the end I had 30000+ points, and bought Kaka, Kahn, Henry, Campbell, Carlos, Ferdinand and my own created player....

u can trade players. I traded Miranda for Luciano. And to my surprise Miranda was rated higher. Luciano of course has the better stats.

It's also worth checking out some of the Koreans and Japanese players too,they have good stats and are cheap as chips!
