Display Settings....

Right...

Before my hard-drive broke PES ran perfectly fine, top settings and resolution with no problem what so ever. Now after fixing my PC and installin PES again it runs sooooooooo badly, even on really low in-game settings. I've turned my refresh rate down to 60hertz which has helped alot but its still very poor. I've downloaded the latest graphics drivers and made sure that DirectX 9 is installed.

What I need to know is what most peoples display settings are. I.E Vertical Sync, Anti-Aliasing, Anisophoric Flitering etc.

Here are my specs;

AMD Athlon 64 Processor
3400+
2.41 GHz
1.00 Gb of Ram
ATI All-in-Wonder 9600 XT

Cheers

What hard drive you have now?

Try maybe installing SP2 if you have WINXP.

With that computer you should be able to play very smooth.

Its not an amazing PC, but yeah it ran perfect before my Hard-drive broke.

Now i've got 260GB Hard drive.

Is SP2 necessary? Is it a hassle to install?

This happened to me only with WE8 last year. I got a new hard drive too and it got slow. I uninstalled it and came back to it a few months later and it ran fine on the exact same system.

The best configuration for my Nvidia Geforce 5500/60hz:

Antialiasing settings - application controlled

Anisotropic filtering - 2x

Image settings - high quality

Color profile - not available

vertical sync - off

force mipmaps - bilinear

conformant texture clamp - on

extension limit - off

hardware acceleration - single display mode

trilinear optimization - off

anisotropic mip filter optimization - off

anisotropic sample optimization - off

triple buffering - off

negative LOD bias - clamp

PES5 plays smooth with this configuration. Try it. :ewan:
