Hi guys!

Well, I wanted to play online yesterday for the first time in FIFA 07, so I started matchup. I joined a lobby, opened a game, and played it. No problem so far.
The next time, I joined another game ... also ok, but quite slow. Who cares, probably the guy hadn't forwarded the ports.
After that, I opened some other games, no problems.

But suddenly, the connection collapsed in a game. I didn't think much about it bc this happened often in FIFA 06, so I just opened another game.

This time, the game crashed right after the loading. Great, so I opened the next game. Same result ...
Then I talked with some guys in the lobby chat and told them my problem, and some told me they had the same.

Well then, I restarted Matchup, which didn't help. I restartet FIFA, nothing. I rebooted, nothing :(

By the way, even if I'm an editer and stadium builder at www.fifaecp.com, I haven't changed the game at all so far. So it can't be a change on the database, for example, wich, of course, would have lead to such crashes.

After that, I reinstalled FIFA and EA Sports Online components completely .. but even this didn't help at all. Still the same disconnect after the game has started (I even can run some metres with my players before it crashes).

I have a Firewall running, but it never caused any problems, and I also tested with the firewall turned off, no difference. Windows firewall is turned off completely, so it can't be this one, either.
I'm behind a router, but I have all ports that are listed in the manuals of FIFA 2005, FIFA 06 AND FIFA 07 open, mainly the gaming port "3658", too. I checked that again right now.

So now I'm out of answers or solutions ... that's why I open this thread.

Does someone else have the same problem? And does someone know some suggestions for a solution? :)

I really like online gaming (right after stadium building for FIFA :D), so I would be really upset if I'd miss it this year ...

dude im having the same problem i think its something to do with skipping the players entrances if you have put it to skip them my game crashes at kickoff but im having trouble finding where in game settings it is i reinstalled fifa played a few games online no problems then thought right im gonna do some editing ill try a face so i imported rio ferdinand face went for a game against the computer to see if it had worked ingame...fine no problems went to try it online and it skipped intro and crashed so now im thinking well has it crashed because of the ferdinand face which worked fine for fifa 06 online or has it skipped player entrance which caused it to crash and that is where you find me SO DOES EDITING FACES KITS ETC CAUSE FIFA 07 TO CRASH ONLINE IF SO IM GOING BACK TO FIFA 06 I CANT NOT PLAY ONLINE OR IS IT SOMETHING TO DO WITH SETTING THE GAME TO SKIP PLAYERS ENTRANCES I TRULY HOPE ITS THE LATTER keep me posted dude :ewan:

I haven't changed anyting in the game, so it can't be the problem, at least not with me :>

Coudl it be something with the fifa.db file? I found out that the one of my version (German) is different to the one of the English version, at least it's got another date.

German: fifa.db (06.09.06 - 09:35)
English: fifa.db (06.09.06 - 22:07)

Which date do you have?

ok i reinstalled added nothing and online play worked fine i added my rio face went to play online and it loses connection b4 i even kick a ball so..... i cant add nothing to my game and play online which is so upsetting :nape: however i still think its something to do with the players entrance when u kick off in offline mode does the players entrance begin or does it just skip straight to kick off without showing the formation and such :jambo:

I have the same problem.But the opening sequence with the players entrance is only an offline feature.In online mode there is just a short view over the pitch and an squad tactics screen.

mine is both on and offline its just jumping straight to kick off automatically :nape: but theres a option to turn team intro on or off but i cant find it but i turned it off so i must be able to turn it on again...weird

really? With me there's the normal intro that also shows offline. First a fly through the stadium (the first view is the main stand and the adboards in front of it).
If you push a button then, the team tactics show up during a camera fly around the stadium.

It's like offline here ...

I cant connect at all online. It kicks me back to lobby everytime. Ive opened ports, disabled firewall.. nothing is working...
