DirectX problem when installing Fifa 2007

Hello,

I recently downloaded and tried to install Fifa 2007 and Fifa WC 2006 and just after i enter the serial, it says that you need to install directx 9.0c (which i have installed already). This was one that actually came with the game. I tried re-installing the video drivers to the latest and nothing worked. The dialog box that comes up with the license agreement has no words in it.. only yes or no to either agree or disagree. When yes is chosen that is when a notice comes up:
" Installation cannot continue because this game requires DirectX 9.0c or higher to be installed on ur system. (And then it says where u can get it from mircosoft.)
Strangely, when i go in Start-->Run-->dxdiag. it shows that i already have the latest directx and that no files are missing.
This have me stumped. Any suggestions? i tried googling this and it led me no where really.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

System specs:

Windows XP pro. (pirated -- i wonder if this is an issue )
Maxtor 500 gig SATA Hard drives (250 x2)
2 gig ram
MSI motherboard MS-7125
AMD Athlon 64 processor 3000+ (not overclocked)
512MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600 video card
SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio soundcard
DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) --

i got same problem...but i don't know how to make autorun compatible with win2000 can you write how i can do it?

I got exactly the same problem as akeem and gravelet. Could you or someone else post a short hint as how to fix the Autorun file?

How to fix the Autorun file...

Hey guys,

you have to open the file of your active drive where the game is located (so maybe C or something). Then you have to click with your right button on it and click on the file "Open". Afterwards you click with right button on "AutoRun" with the EA button above and click on "Properties" to open it. Then you just have to open the folder "compatibility". At last you have to activate the top arrow and set it to "Windows 2000".

I have same problem as the guys in this thread ,
I changed the compatability to 2000
Still not installing

The weird thing is I have had Fifa2007 installed on compter since its relise I decided to try some Game Play files, big mistake :boohoo: I did not back up the originals, So I thought thats ok I can reinstall, but no I cant for some reason .
Dose any one have an Idea why this is happening.
