There should atleast be a big in Montreal!Soccer is getting very big here, especially since there are a lot of Italians here, so get some Italian team like Parma here and ppl would go crazy! This would also bring a lil money to the more lowly clubs. :chew:

You would be surprised (as I was). A couple of Italian teams came out last year to Toronto and I went (since my best friend is Italian). The turnout was HORRIBLE. I was expecting TONS of italians, with flags, celebrations, and in the end there were WAY more supporters from the other teams. Italy played Serbia this summer in Toronto, and again, not many Italians came out as I would have expected.

After talking to a bunch of Italian soccer fans about the outcome, they said they love soccer, they love to celebrate, but they are not willing to pay the ridiculous ticket prices for 1 game . . . I sort of don't blame them, but then again WOULD IT HURT TO COME OUT FOR ONE GAME. It's not liek you are paying those prices to see them play every Saturday

Dinamo is the best club in Croatia. While they've been a mockery last season, I don't know what to think now. New coach, new players... It could be interesting because it seems that finally the right people have been put in charge. I've seen Dinamo that could beat Rangers. This one is far from it, tho.

I expect good time...

Dinamo played solid preseason games and winning friendly Switzerland cup by beating Auxerre in final...

some 3-4 first team players wont be playing, but Dinamo has bunch of good youngsters playing in Croatian u-20 team...watch Luka Modric, kid is a great prospect for future...

Dinamo had worst season in history last year and all in club are up to succes this season...

this year Dinamo wont be playing in European competitions and rejected to play Intertoto as wanting to make quality preseason tour and trainings to make this season great and in 2-3 years make those youngsters play good in European seasons to come...

Dinamo isn that good like 7-8 years ago when we beat Celtic in Champions League Qualifying phase but I expect solid performance from my team...:D

p.s. do you know maybe some satelitte channel where I could watch that game?

cheers mates

Dinamo Zagreb 1:0 Glasgow Rangers

WOW! What a game! What atmosphere! Attendance was not good, but I sat in the Croatian supporters section right behind the net. For those of you there, I'm sure you heard the noise from that section. I was surprised by the number of Croatian fans that showed up. Certainly more than the number of Rangers fans (I was shocked, becuase last year the Rangers fans outnumbered the Italian fans by A LOT). I am also surprised we won , considering Dinamo Zagreb was considered the underdogs. The Dinamo goalie played an awesome game and was the reason why Dinamo won.

This was the first time I got to go to a soccer game AND cheer a team that I really wanted to win, sing & chant the entire time, and see flares etc etc (you know, the whole bit). For all you people in Europe, South America etc. that get to do this all the time, you're lucky. Don't take it for granted. This is the only sport I'm into and it's not popular here. God only knows when I will get to experience something like this again.
