I just returned from a friend of mine... he downloaded a dialer for accessing porn sites, and this dialer installed itself in a subdirectory cdialer, creating an icon on the desktop. OK, no problem so far.
Now, the interesting part comes up. I deleted this subdirectory, and the icon too. I restarted the PC (with Win XP, by the way), and the icons didn't appear at first on the desktop, but then was created during the loading of the various programs that start with Win XP (you know, Norton AV and so on). No icon in the system tray though.
I've checked the Start-Up menu, the services, the installed applications, the processes running, nothing suspect. It seems like I can't find this program that re-creates the dialer at every start-up. Any suggestions on how may I solve this problem?
There's probably something in the Registry to fix. But I can't understand where is this program coming out from at every start-up...
Every suggestion would be appreciated.
