Deflections/Getting by defenders..

Is anyone else having trouble actually getting shots on target from long distance due to the CPU players constantly deflecting the ball? This seems completely unrealistic, as I am yet to score a goal outside of the box. I play on Semi-Pro, so theoretically it should not be this difficult to score.

Plus, I can't seem to get by defenders regardless of whatever I do using the right-analog stick. I've never had these problems before, and it's nearly impossible to score goals as a result of this.

Yeah first touch is very different from Fifa2005 and attackers seem to move slower than before, also when pushing the ball forward while running with Right stick usualy results in ball loss, this was never a problem in 2005...

Also even if you're a world class player try to get past a division three defense going central, it's as good as impossible, you are forced to do trough passes, long passes or attack by wing play, very frustrating.

Also on the other hand it is 10 times more difficult to get the ball back, as easy they take it from you as hard it gets to take it back, trying to get it back by stopping them with the shoot button doesn't work anymore and hard tackling results in a card fest.

Then if you tackle a peep from behind you get an instant red card, the cpu gets only a yellow one though, I wish there was a clapping button that way I would get even more cards...

Unless a serious gameplay patch comes out for the PC version, which I doubt because the console versions aren't correctable and EA will never admit their failure, I'm going to skip this one and continue playing Fifa2005 while waiting for 07...

i think its great. You cant shoot from anywhere into the top corner, you have to build up attacks with passing. The game is a lot harder and more rewarding

Man, you're ultimate PES game is even a bigger pile of **** than Fifa06, I guess I'm getting too old for this retarded tourette syndrom type of arcade games...

And what EA doesn't get is as they start to copy that japanese pile of crap, people will always prefer the original, give us our normal Fifa gameplay back else you will just be a wannabe carbon copy of PES and loose all the old time players like myself who prefer the old fifa gameplay, where you didn't have to be L33t and train 6 hours just to get past a defender...

I've let in a few goals with the ball deflecting off players and the goal keeper and you can't do anything to stop it but atleast I got a gol by an opposition player hitting the ball off his keeper to go in.

Also wtf is up with running with the ball? Players seem so slow and defenders can get the ball easyily the opposition defenders are fast unlike your own slow ones...
