Yeah you're completely right. It's also totally quiet. It's nickname is "The Library" and I know for a fact that the Iowa football team doesn't even consider it a home field advantage because the crowd is so weak.

THe architecture of american stadiums are world class. The designs are very good. Maybe just not suited to soccer. The American Football ones sit 100,000 the biggest one is like 120,000 seater. BUt soccer will never attract that many people in the u.s

Common lets be a bit serious there, i was creating those designs with LEGO when i was 5. Most of them look like either a cheap rip-off of the Coliseum or just a big rectangle.

This is just huge for MLS all together. This will make soccer WAY MORE POPULAR then it was..here in the states.. and US is getting a quality player that is known worldwide. Also, its a smart move for Beckham. He is near the end of his professional career and the best place to retire is in the states (along he gets tons of money for it who wouldn't do it)...although he always wanted to retire in ManUnited uniform.

I don't think he is going after money so much..he already has plenty.. but.. sometimes people just need a change..


You can def. expect him getting big time movie roles..early morning/late night show appearences.. etc..

Beckham is a nice guy..and I will never forget his skills.. esp..while playing for ManUTD..

Good move. He is no longer the player he used to be. Plus Ive never seen so much hype for one player. They even discussed it on CNN. I didn't think Becks was that popular a star. Plus we will see if he can cut it in a less quality league compared to La Liga.

The man is like football\soccer GOD to Americans, he has a freakin' movie named after him. Also if you ask any american who doesnt follow Soccer, he would know Beckham, at least as Posh Spice's husband

Football GOD to americans?? WTF!! talk about overstatement. He is actually one of the most recognized Football players in the world. Add to that the price tag that he now has and you have a reason why he would be all over the news.

lol I think that might be too much. Here in America people are too divided over the sports and even if they all liked the same sport a hero for one is a villain for another. (Like Bonds, the ultimate dirt bag).

But Beckham is very widely known even by people who dont know about soccer, he is going to be huge here.
