date of birth question

can some please explain the date of birth column in table_players

for example
Wayne Bridge date of birth is August 5, 1980

but in the game it shows as
145297

I think it is the Gregorian calendar and I'm sure there is a converter out there somewhere. Just I can't find it.

Apologies if you feel like anyone is taking the mickey out of you, but that really is how the dates are stored (and you wouldn't believe the fun and games I had figuring it out when first attempting to decode dates in FIFA 2005)
