I like to get some feed back from you guys as to what is better to use playing WE6/PES would you say D-PAD or anolog as you know the D-PAD has only 8directions to turn and the anolog stick has 64 direction so let me know your favoritewhy you choose what you use

I'm more used to using the D-pad but the analogue can produce some top results. Especially when it comes to set peices.

D-pad. You get no advantage at all with analogue being that you can only go in eight directions in the game.

untrue, analog gives you a better feel of the game than Dpad.

i use d-pad for running around and analog for passing/shooting

with only 8 directions in the game d-pad is way more comfy ;-/

The only advantage the analog stick could have in PES would be if differing amounts of pressure resulted in faster or slower dribbles. I've found this NOT to be the case. (I'm talking PC only here, I don't know how it is on PS2).

D-pad all the way, much more precise dribbling this way.

Even though I'm totally used to using the analog controls now (never had dual shock for ps1, got my own ps2 only half a year ago), it just doesn't feel right if I don't use d-pad.

I used to play with the analogue stick on the PC PES3. Then I broke the left movement stick(I was using a PS1 Dual Shock). Sometimes I can get movement, other times not. So I leave it in a position where it is not moving the game at all and play with the D-Pad now(I still use the right analogue stick).

The big advantage with the analogue stick(on PES3 at least) is that you get varying degrees of movement - useful if you are bringing a defender to meet the ball as you won't run it out of play so easily. I thought it made a difference to shooting accuracy as well but that is only in extremely rare cases.

Oh, I've always used the D-pad for applying curl on free kicks and corners, it allowed me to be more precise with what I wanted

It's a matter of personal taste really. I'm sure if proper testing were to be done with timers and so on you'll find there's no difference in responsiveness. Or, it may be down to the quirks of the controller you use.
