I am having a real problem with the cutscenes in FIFA 07 where there is a major slowdown, iv'e tried the thing with: High deatail with edited LOD ( http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?t=136583 ).

However this does'nt help, iv'e also downloaded & installed all the latest drivers.

Anyone else having this problem and perhaps someone with a solution?

Yeah mate, pretty much EVERYONE has this problem...EA fethed up big time with this release.

Apparently a patch is in the works, however in the mean time ive had some limited success playing in windowed mode.

Go to the shortcut for the game, right click, go to properties and after the "...fifa07.exe" add -windowed

So:
"...fifa07.exe" -windowed

Hi, guys .

In games cinematics are really piss off problem . Shame for EA for such buggy game . I understand that no program could be perfect but what we get with FIFA 07 is too much !!! .

Any why solution probably is strange but it helps me - I put FSAA level at 8x and bingo cinematics are not jerky at all . I have GF7800 GT - try to rise FSAA level at 8x miniumum .

I have a 6600GT, the game played fine except for the ingame cinematics. I turned off AA from the display control panel (I read about it in another forum) and lo and behold it works smooth as now. Try giving that a go.

And EA sucks, for the record.

As someone told me you can get rid of the slowdown by setting AA to 8 or higher!

I have a Dual GeForce 7800 GTX and i run the game in 1280x1024 with16xAA and 16xAnisotropc filtering with no slowdown!

Stranglely the game runs more smoth than without any AA and looks fantastic! Even EA's grass looks half decent!

I use sli antialising in a created profile (using nHancer).

So either play without AA or set it to 8 or higher and no more slowdown/slideshow.
