Curling Free Kicks

It sounds stupid, but I can't seem to get any curl on my free kicks. I add the aimer on the ball far to the right and have tried other areas but it just goes straight. Anyone got any tips? I've seen the computer curl it so I'm guessing it's possible.

I know what you mean! I'm having exactly the same troubles... anyone got any idea how to curl these free kicks cos the way it could be done before doesn't look like it's workin this time round?

If you're using Keyboard...

Hold SHIFT and move the arrow keys left/right.

Well, that's as far as I've gotten anyway

I've only been able to score from free kicks with left footers. There's always a gap next to the wall where you can just slip the ball in. I've used right footers and the ball just bounces back off of the wall.

Same here, no side spin on free kicks no matter who takes it, what speed, and how much spin you put on it.

I can score no though without curling, but I bet I won't be able to in a better league.

strange, i score more free kick goals then i do with penalties.

is there any trick with penalties? or just pure luck.

just hold down the power bar quick, blast it down the middle.

For freekicks

1.aim at the top corner furthest from the keeper.

2.Add maximum curl either direction, with slight dip

3.Press the shoot button once near the end of the orange zone and again in the dark green area

This works pretty well for me- i score almost everytime i get it right (in semi-pro though)

for me, i hold down shift, then press down key to aim the bottom part of the ball. so it could avoid hit on the wall most of the time.

back to the topic. i have the same problems as well. no curling free kick. thats true. poor EA

I'm getting curl on it now. I aim at the crossbar (as high as possible), then put spin on the bottom right of the ball (with a right footer) and then get the power bar to finish in the middle of the green part. It now curls realistically.
