Palace have loaned Benfica's Jose Fonte for the upcoming season.

Alright Benfica fans...who the hell is Jose Fonte? I know his brother Rui is in Arsenal's academy, but i never heard of Jose.

I think most Benfica fan don't know much about José Fonte, because he never played with Benfica's jersey, he never had the chance to show his value... He was a promising full-back of Setubal a couple years ago, sometimes compared with Ricardo Carvalho by portuguese press (who exagerates a lot). He signed with Benfica when he broke his contract with Setubal, but Benfica loaned right away.
