It'll only be a matter of years till cristiano is the best MIDFIELDER i'd say, but you cant say he will be the best player overall as i think its not fair to compare say a striker and a goalkeeper and say one is better than the other. Obviously postional biase would probably make you say the striker was, even if the keeper was more naturally talented.
But anyway, back to the topicá, when ronaldo first arived at united we all saw he had great potential, but the fact that he is improving all the time shows that it wont be that long till he's one of the best in the world.

ronaldo is one of the best youngsters along with reyes in europe..
although its kinda amazing how ronaldo hasnt had a break yet, so many things are expected of him.. premier season's over, than he has to go to the euro, than back to premier league.. and hes been in great form too...

he is world class now if you say he isn't is because you haven't followed his games since late last season till now, or you're a Manchester United hater.
He has been producing solid exhibitions for both club and country since the finish of last season and he had like 1 or 2 bad games in like 30.
He's been the defence cracker for Portugal in the first matches of WC qual. and we totally owe him for having all points atm. 2 goals and 3 assists in the last two matches. :Bow:
He is not a prospect anymore, he's a proven player, and to think he's only 19 and you see progress from him in every game, you have to realize that the kid has potential to be not only the best player in the world which he'll eventually be in one year or two but also one of the best players ever to kick a ball.

i think it was a good idea to rest ronaldo in the champions leage match this week. I think he should get another cople of games off or not play full 90 minutes.

Cristiano is a fantastic player. But I also don't think that he will ever be considered the best player in Europe. Though perhaps that will change if he switches to a more central role.
Anywayz he is still really young and he will definately grow as a player as the years go by.

if Figo was Cristiano will. Playmakers usually get more attention than wingers but it's not impossible to get praise and to be considered the best.
I agree, and how could anyone say he will never be one of the best? He is only 19 and look what he is doing? He was playing first team football since the age of 17(I think). Do you think a player like that wont learn anything new? I mean, look at you guys, more than half of you are 19-22, and where are you? Starting every week for Man Utd, again, you dont think a player like that will learn?
