Creation Master Standard - What is it?

I think the basic idea is one of standardization. The problem with the patches in the past is that if I say, made a CMP patch for a league that wasn't originally in FIFA, I'd make up the ID's for those teams myself - which might be the same as the ID's someone else used in a different patch for a different league. Then those two patches are incompatible with each other.

So the idea (As I understand it) is that you'll install the CMS standard patch using Creation Master (or will it come as part of the CM download and be installed automatically?) and it will essentially 'prepare' the database by adding ID's for all the leagues, teams, nations, stadiums etc. that are not currently in the game, these ID's will then become the standard for that league/team (etc.). So any patches created with a version of CM with the CMS installed will be compatible for anyone else also using the CMS...

Have I understood correctly Rinaldo?

An awesome idea if you ask me :)

This is a first example with the standardization of all Countries and National Teams ids

that's exactly what i was going to suggest, starting with national teams and nationalities

maybe someone can start with american or leagues

Is there is a way that team and league follow Country ID.

I use CMS_Countries.pdf ID list for this examples. I'm currently creating Malaysia super League Patch. In order to do that, I'll have to create Country and National Team.
Malaysia ID is 1431. How about, the team and player number also start with the same number. Say, for Malaysian National team the number would be 143100. Leagues team will use 143101, 143102, and so on, with the maximum number of 99 teams (143199) because 143200 is for another country, ie. Maldives.
The same goes to the player. Players number will start with 14310101 for player from team 1. It will also mean, if I create player for team 2 (143102), it's player ID will start with 14310201.

Hope all of you understand what I mean. Of course I don't know the whether 8 digit number is acceptable in FIFA09. Just a suggestion.

Brilliant idea Rinaldo and if anyone can pull it off you're the man!
This would make things so much better, having an organised structure in place first will help everyone, patchmakers and players alike.

Yeh, but 100 teams per country is not fair for big countries:S

thanks Rinaldo for expanation.

But how people could JUST install the patches :S ?

Patches will be released in .cmp format and imported with CM. Future versions of CM will have the option to enable patch loading in CMS compatibility mode.

Rinaldo,

I see that your National Team ids are a bit over the place. Estonia is meant to be in ID 1332, and to be honest nationality ID 15, s they fit alphabetically before the Faeroe Islands. Check the lng.db and you'll that for the team string from ID 1332 is Estonia. :) Montenegro should be swapped to have ID 208 instead. :)

I think that what would be best is to stick with one form of ID's; That would be the one from FIFA 2002. It has every national team execpt for Serbia, Montenegro (both of whom were then yugoslavia = 1368) and Timor Leste. If you'd like I can not only do the WC list, but also the 2002 list which has all 202 countries. Send me by PM or email the .xls and I'll fill it for you. I guess I really need to do this for my RTWC Patch as well so any advanced assistance I can get from CM will really help me and everyone else. :)

PS: The Netherlands ID is one of 105035 or 1339. The ID 111648 is a Fake one. :)

I have attached the Excel file of the Countries, ATE87 is also updating it using WC06 ids. If you want to write down your own solution we can compare them together and choose the better.

this is a very good idea... achievable, but needs gigantic effort...

i think the national teams' ids using fifa 2002 will be a great idea
not sure bout this, but it might even 'unlock' the sound files of these teams if the EA peeps did not change their sound files since 2002... ;p what are the chances? ;p
but if WC 2002 has more updated ids, of cos we'll use that...

for player ids... like rinaldo mentioned, is kinda tricky...
unless people that made new patches will sort of 'announce' the newly created players' ids here to be shared... & the rest follows it...
this has always been a prob in importing previous cmp files as well as the update of the 'infamous' CEP patch where the newly-created player & team ids were brought forward from previous fifas & were recycled without checking that these players have been added into the new fifa series, hence, duplicated players... another thing about players is that different patch makers spell the name of a player in different ways which also leads to duplicated players without the other party noticing it...

for boots, hmmm... maybe bootmakers (there aren't many around, so pretty much easier to control them) shall give the ids to these boots as & when they make them to the available slots & such?

however, i think the one most important thing right now is to break the fifa.fat limit for all of us to realise this wonderful idea!

just my 2 cents...
