At last tournament mode (non manager mode) creation is supported and working !!! Just created a World Cup and Champions League to be working in tournament mode.

can you send me a PM telling me how (did you create a league with UCL teams to make it work) and if you managed to make the groups teams as you wanted?

I had to create a separate league with a much higher id (so that it does not precede the normal leagues) for UCL teams (now leagueteamlinks have two entries for such teams, one for UCL league, one for normal league).

It is not possible to create the groups as I want coz the tournament mode creation in CM is not that flexible like tournament creation in manager mode.
