Creating New Tournaments in the DB

Guys, I need help and I am absolutely stuck on trying to make new tournaments.

I am particularly wanting to make large tournaments with various groups and playoffs. Having a look at the DB, the Manager Mode rtsg and team lookup formats are the exact same as previous FIFAs. However, when i tried to experiment with the FIFA Club World Cup (The last tournament in the rtsg/team lookup for manager mode) it doesn't show up in Tournament Mode under the Rest of the World category, which is non-existant anyway. I've seen people succeding with creating leagues for new countries not in FIFA by default, so it must be possible.

Can anyone give me a guide on how to make new tournaments to be activated by default from the DB from scratch?

You need to edit these tables:

'tourn_licensed' and 'tourn_licensed_stages'

use any league as reference.

you need to edit the following columns:

In table tourn_licensed

It_assetid = the same as you put on the table "league". OK.

It_country = the name already says... '0' for 'no country set' or put the id of country.

It_num_teams_per_group = put as many teams participating in this league.

It_tourn_type = I think it's the same button of CM 10 "Is a league" '0' yes '1' for no

It_num_unique_teams = Case this is a league use the same number of collumn " It_num_teams_per_group"... if not (I need more information for this)

It_away_goal _rules = "..."

It_id = use the same of table 'leagues' or create one

It_startig_subs = number of substitutes //?

In table tourn_licensed_stages

It_num_legs = (need more information)

It_id = the same of you used in tourn_licensed

It_league1 = I put the same Id of the league.

It_league2'3'4'5'6 = I think this is the id's in case of lower leagues.

for example... in 'It_league' the brazilian league id is '5' I've created the serie B then i put in column 'It_league2' the it_id that I used in this new league.

in the other columns I used an id equal to my reference.

Sorry but my english is bad to explain this... but i think that it is sufficient to solve your problem.

My tournaments are probably not leagues of say 18-20-22 teams. They will all be based from the International league. I am simply after a league where I can put the tournaments in without affecting the ability to play with new tournaments containing national teams.

They will be tournaments with group and knockout stages. (multiple groups and playoffs in the case of the UEFA EURO tournament, which i want to have qualifiers too)

The most number of teams will be 53 and the smallest will be 8.

when you created the brasilian second division
does it appear in the MANAGER MODE?

i mean
now you can play manager mode with a div1 team and be relegated to div2?

can you take a div2 team and promote to div1?

Hmm, Does anyone know how to make a cup knockout tournament. The only thing that i see here is a league.

I've also tried to unlock the FIFA Club World Cup, (its the last tournament in the mm_rtsg and mm_teamlookup tables) but without any success.

follow these steps:

- install fifa10 (no joke xD)
- make sure u have the same ids for the teams on fifa10 and fifa11
- create the tournament with CM10
- open uniDB, export the db into access.
- open the tables (for manager mode: mm_team_lookup and mm_rtsg // for tournament mode: tourn_licensed and tourn_licensed_stages ) with excel and save them.
- open DBM11
- export the tables u wanna edit (the same ones I said on the previous point)
- and add the info of the fifa10 one into the fifa11 table.
- finally, import.

I did that for CEP and have all leagues, cups and everything working =)

What about unlocking the FIFA Club World Cup. If I am unable to do that then even if i convert my tournaments then they won't work because they were under the same Rest of World category.

Also, fifa10 doesn't have any differentiation between liscenced/manager mode tournaments, so how can i convert to fifa11 tables which don't exist in fifa10? xD

for the rest of the world issue ... create a counrty (use any), rename it to rest of the world and they will appear

So i can use any id? what about the country id in manager mode tables? what do i use for a country that doesn't have its own NT? 9999 doesn't seem to work.

Another problem, Teams are randomised from a specific league if i have more teams from a league than participating in the tourney.

So if i make a tournament, teams will be in different groups all the time, and hosts won't always automatically qualify. Heck for a "EURO" tourney, half the teams might be from other continents.

Robbie. Forget if you wanna create tournaments to use international teams. In this FIFA you cant do this

Did you have any luck with getting the Club World Cup sorted out and showing up in Tournament Mode? I've been trying and can't get it to work.

If you got it to work, any chance that you can send PM me your tourn_licensed.txt, tourn_licensed_stages.txt, mm_rtsg.txt, and mm_team_lookup.txt files so I can see what you did?

I managed to get it to show in tournament mode, but the problem is that it randomises the teams. So sometimes you'll have two korean teams, two brazilian teams and even sometimes, Classic or World XIs.

it is possible to add tournaments because the person who made the malaysian league patch managed to add a tournament with group stages
