Creating a team in pro evo 3

I wanted to create my local team, to do this i modified the player names and appearances of Middlesbough. I can now see my team names in edit mode but when i go to play a match the teams are all Middlesbough players again. What am i doing wrong?

are you sure that you havent gone back to a previously made league, with all the old players still on it?

Your alright guys figured it out. In the end i had to manually move the players using we editor.
