Fifa 2005 is absolute pants, i have no idea what all the hype is about! im sure that they never had the game tested by anyone before it went on general release, or that any of the developers had ever actually played football. after all these years fifa churn out the same old rubbish when will they ever learn that having all the licenses for teams and players, will not cover over that fact that the actual gameplay sucks, badly. first touch !? what a load of bollocks. this game is so limited and stale i really hope they stop making it.

If some one can explain why they think it is so good i would love them to respond, i have been playing it for the best part of the weekend trying to like it, but it just makes me more angry that people still buy this because of its fancy license, and not cause its any good, because it is'nt!!!!!!

Come on England!!

So so true. The SAD part is that the game is still probably going to do GREAT in sales, but not for the right reasons.

It's analogous to Eminem's new single "Just Lose It". Now I think Eminem is a great rapper, but his new single is just ~~> :sb9:
But people are still going to love it because the song is by EMINEM.

Unfortunately you do get that when a game/person make's a name for themselves. I have only played the demo, but when I did I didnt know what their new gimmick was this year, but from the demo i couldnt tell it was first touch to be honest with you. It felt like 04, the way the players move and the way the ball feels. But i may be wrong, i've heard great things from fifa 05.

generally i feel this game is good. just in some part like corner, direct and indirect free kick, defend sit too deep, most goals score by striker were too scripted make the game not that fun.

first touch is great. is fun.

I think first touch is great. Look at all the other sporting genres, they've been using the right analogue stick for freestyle movements for the past couple of years. It gives so much more freedom, hence the "freestyle" name. Anyway, I much prefer the right analogue stick being used for something than nothing at all. If you don't like it then don't use it. But in the end I think some people just don't want to give EA and FIFA any credit at all.

My point about first touch is that it's just an new gimmick that their shmarketing boys have come up with to make the game 'new and improved' from the last game and its just not enough of a reason to bring out a new version. Im not saying it is'nt a good idea but they have got to update the rest of the gameplay, which still feels like fifa 96

ok using first touch i might do a clever turn or a fancy flick, but what about what happens before and after that, i have to deal with the rubbery unrealistic passing and movement of the players to get myself into a position to use first touch. and once i turned a defender and through on goal i have to implement the pants shooting system to blast a shot which i have little or no control over, and that uses the sme animation wherever in the goal the ball ends up. always with a side foot from a size 20 boot. More to follow.....

:funny: :funny: i started reading this response and i couldnt finish it after i read the word "pants" and then "bollocks" in the same paragraph!! what the hell is a bollocks...is that like another word for a crumpet or another version of your crappy food? you english guys crack me up.

anyway, so far my ONLY gripe about fifa is that its way too easy to score on free kicks. im using henry, but its pretty easy.

I give credit ONLY when/where credit's due. As for EA/FIFA, when they brag about a "new feature" (which is already supposed to be a part of the game), and when they lack a whole bunch of other basic elements; THAT my friend doesn't warrant any sort of credit.

anyway im from the USA, can't you tell by my arrogant nature and loud mouth?:rockman: i just think pants and bollocks are funny terms. next thing i know, you'll be telling me to "bugger off". ha! those terms are about as gay as me saying something is "krunk"....*sigh*....that just kinda sums up how retarded some people in the USA are.

but ive played the demo extensively and i played the crap out of fifa 04, and yes it had a lot of problems, but it was the only soccer game i had, so i had to play it. this game just feels better. the passing system is more fluid, the players movements are more realistic, and the ball finally has its own physics. i dont care what you think about PES so dont bring that up.
