Corrupted Internet Explorer

Okay i've been having this problem for about 6 months. Whenever I try to open a folder or open control panel or something, the computer refreshes and it doesn't open it.

I tried re-installing Windows XP but I was dumb enough to install it partitioned inside my computer

Now today I tried getting my comcast cable internet connection working, but i couldn't install the software or anything, and the technician tried to open control panel but i told him it doesn't work, and he said oh well it's not my problem now

Is there any way to getting explorer running back to normal?

i don't know about that...but there's Firefox wayyyyyyyy better than IE: www.mozilla.org you should give it a try

He is talking about Windows Explorer, not Internet Explorer

Sounds like malware at work, may want to run a few virus scans. Also, when you reinstall XP I find that a complete reformat of the drives is in order.

Firefox > IE though, aye

exactly i think that IE is the reason & spyware also

the solution >>> go & download Mozilla
instead of fu** IE ,,, it is more safe browser i used

I got to agree with "champdave",reformat before u install xp again! i am sure that will take care of your problem!

hmmmm....
might be either malware,adware or spyware.....

try using SpyBot or SpySweeper and if it still occurs...then reformat > Reinstall !!!!
