Corner Kicks

What is the stragety to scoring on corner kicks? I can't seem to do it. I try holding down R2 to get the ball to go higher but it seems like an extremely low percentage of corner kicks will result in a goal. (Maybe 1/30).

Try to kick the ball to the penalty mark !

Or to the 16 m box !

Firstly, corners aren't easy to score.
Secondly, its mainly down to how well your oppenent is at defending corners (online play only)

But generally if i see my players with no1 marking them around the penalty or 6yd box i try and cross to them. Just hold cross.. nothin special. bout 50% power bar.

either that, or if there is a player unmarked on outside of the box, do a 25% power cross to him, and 50% of the time he will do a volley. Doesn't go in all the time, but looks / feels nice :jap:

*remember, corners aren't intended to be easy to score!!*

You only get 3 players in the box at corners ... so its hard to score ... but one I find does the trick most times ... about 20/25% of power bar and swing ball out from goals, as soon as the kick is taken , highlight a player in the box , this will usually be your player closest to the ball (front post) and the usual comes down about the front of the 6yrd box, turn your player and press shoot .. scored many with this low volley into the far corner ..

I played the FIFA demo (not great) but point being you have 6 or 7 players in the box , its just like the real thing ( bodies wise ) I don't understand why seabass only has 3 players up in for the corners ... you might get a 4th at the corner of the 18yrd box making runs to your player at the corner for a short corner kick ... but in th emiddle of the box there are only 3 ... and I tried the suggestion of L2+R1 or was it R2 whatever I tried them all , still none of my other players moved into the box ...

2 forwards and my attacking midfielder ....

Has anyone in an interview asked seabass or konami about why there are only 3 players in the box at corners ?????

That won't really work unless you have Drogba or Koller in the box.

Basically look where you're players are in the box, and try and aim it in their direction. If you lack height, then its best to fire it across the goalmouth with a bit of curve and hope someone can ghost it in at the near post and power it in.

Errrrrrr. Dunno. Its more to do with team mentality to be honest. You won't pile everyone forward with high defensive setting. I do wish they would resolve the defenders not going up issue. Only those with reaction ability constantly stay up top.

To be honest, I've watched a few games this weekened, and I can't remember that many bodies piling into the box. Most attack from deep, or stay back.

You can do it if you put attack up high before the corner and use the CB overlap strategy. Then you get quite a few bodies in the box.

I agree. This is the strategy and try to use curve also. :)

Try pressing forward the direction button all the way, with slight curve. Go for the keeper, about 2m passed the first post. . So, point at the slightest angle, and hit it hard, just over the middle of the power bar!I score once in 7,8 games from the corner, with one player always going for the first post. It's not easy to score, but this way you get the second chance from the rebound most of the times, for hitting it hard!

Do a cross on grass, not in air. It worked for me and i scored 2 goals like this.

Dont cross it directly to the area. With your corner kick taker, pass the ball to the guy next to him, with X. Then with the guy who received the ball, pass the ball back to the taker, and with the taker do a cross with O, pressing it twice. There's a good chance you'll find a man unmarked on the first post and he will either volley it or head it alone.

Scored tons of goals like that.
