The Host Cities:

It will be a rough time for all the European fans of football.:browsmiley: Waking up in the middle of night is the only crap thing about this tournament. I'm going to bed soon because I don't want to miss the opening.:) I'm going to cheer for the Uruguay as usual.

How about your favourites and predictions?

Yes, bad time for Europeans, but with a help of coffee it will be good. My favorites are Uruguay and Brazil.
Argentina should easily win first match against Bolivia. Lets hope for good football! Clock alarm is set...

With Mexico sending their U20ish squad, I have no expectations. It would be nice for Gio to rally them to a quarterfinals run, but it might be too much to ask. I was really looking forward to seeing JDS and Nestor Calderon play, but they decided to get robbed by hookers in Ecuador.

Oh yeah I'm hoping for a Brasil-Colombia final (if it's possible, if not then the obvious Brasil-Argentina). Brasil hits close to the heart, but Colombia has Falcao/Guarin (H)

Guess who picked the first fight of the probable countless that will occur in the tournament. Yep, that little angel Lionel.

Decided to stay up for this game but it's disappointing so far. Hoping to see more combinations from Argentina in attack, because they all seem to play a little selfish, and I'm disappointed Aguero's not playing in favor of Lavezzi. Also, I think Tevez is an AMAZING player, but wouldn't Aguero be a nicer compliment to Messi? Tevez can be a bit of a blind bull sometimes.

Agreed on all counts, I should have gone to bed. Still, I'm hoping for a better second half, hopefully with El Kun or Pastore making an entrance.

FFS, Cambiasso-Mascherano-Banega, in the Copa América opening game in front of your home crowd and against Bolivia? Damn.

Cambiasso is playing well as false 9 but this team is too slow and predictable, every player make a lot of touches before passing. Pastore and Di María should come in.

Agüero is the ******* Romário, can't believe him and Di María aren't starters. PLEASE don't play Messi as midfielder anymore, he can't hurt as much as he does close to the box.

yup, Pastore where Messi is, and Messi further up as the false 9 (the invisible Carlitos might as well have not been out there so far) ... I like Pocho Lavezzi, but Kun should be starting (what a finish!), with Di María as the classic winger on the other side ...

Kun should have started and his price just went up by 5 mil. euros...

I'm rooting for Colombia, would have chose Uruguay but then the argument would be that winning the Copa that preceded a South American World Cup should equal them becoming 5x world champions...btw pretty cool having this streaming on YouTube.

Wow wtf??? Batista needs to understand Cambiasso and Banega are not Xavi and Iniesta. He needs to play a creative Midfielder for **** sake!

He needs to play Pastore with Banega and Mascherano doing all the defensive work. He also needs to start Mess/Aguero/Di Maria.

I'm afraid however that Argentina will never be a team, they are just a bunch of players trying to be Maradona. No one passes the ****ing ball when they are close to the box.
