Consistency, a players' touch ability etc.

Those friggin' arrows...they seem to be pointed down, most of the time. It is as though you need two squads (at least). Does the Consistency stat make much of a difference? Most players seem to have a Consistency of "5"...which seems to mean you're paying for a player who you may as well bench half the time

A players "touch"...what stats affect the players ability to trap the ball (from passes), or touch it in just the right position. "Technique"?

Also, is there some things that aren't measured by stats in the game? It seems that there are several players with indifferent stats...but huge salaries. Even major players like Edgar Davids seem to have fairly low stats for their cost (unimpressive ATT, DEF, Teamwork, Drble Sp. stats etc...but one of the more expensive players in the game) and the impact they seem to have on their team in real life.

Well, I'll try say what I can.
For me, Davids plays really well, despite the fact that his stats aren't godly like (relatively speaking) so I think that attitude and form has an affect on how well they all play. As for the ability to trap the ball, I'd assume it is related to the Technique stat.

Do you think that most players, like Davids, who are very expensive but don't have the godly stats have something like that?

As for Attitude, though, with his Teamwork stat being so low (I really don't get that, is Davids not a team player?)...

Teamwork is dynamic in ML. It starts low and goes up as your team plays together.

The stats on players like Davids are deceiving. They still play very well on the pitch if thier form arrow is atleast green.

Yep, as Keemo said, playing well in the Master League makes them play better overall, which means when you purchase davids, his team work isn't terribly good, but as you play him, he increases and fits in with your team well, like real life!

Don't you hate it when you get a new signing and he has a grey or blue arrow for like half the season or more? In an ML game a long time ago I bought Seedorf and he was in bad form more then half the season. I wonder if that means he is not adapting to the league/team? If Konami made it that realistic...Wow

I've only got one player on a down arrow though, and he was a youth i bought but ended up crap so i bought Freddie Ljungberg to play in his spot instead, 'n he's been doin a hell of a lot better.

I agree on the arrows -- WE6:I was much more realistic -- in WE7:I you have so many arrows pointing straight down every match that you absolutely have to have two full squads to compete, as Decado points out, and definitely more than 2 keepers.

Not at all lads, i only sub if the player is blue or worse. If the player is a 'quality' player, he only needs to be on green or better to get the best outta him, if he is a lower stat'd player then you need them up in the ornages and reds.. btw way bought saha mid season in Div 2 season 1 and he has scored 16 goals since he came to me, hes a god!
