Considering 2014 - New & Some Questions

Hi,

I realise this isnt a busy place for PES but hopefully someone can answer.

I have just been playing the PES2014 PC Demo (Windows XP running rather smooth in fact) How long did that take to some out hifty: .. I find that the passing can be a bit "one touch" and a little more ping pong. There isnt much I dont like about it ignoring Fifa14 comparisons.

So I remember in 2013 demo you had "slow" game-play or at least a speed slider of some sort but not in this demo, so are there any sliders for overall game speed in the full version and or any sliders (like Fifa?) and what are they.

How do you actually call for the ball if your locked to a single player? (Yep a dumb question I know but I literally have had 1 hours time to play demo or any PES).

Do you know of any good URL's that explain all the modes in great detail like a manual, or is there a PDF manual link

Just some good things I found when digging further.

Well I have no idea anyone reads this but anyway

I have the metaboli download digital version, and using Jenkey's file loader the game after 2 mins would crawl to a slideshow and then freeze my entire system .... hmmmm.

Soon as I remove file loader it works. So ... I got the 1.3 PES Patch and obviously I need file loader. Anyway that comes with the retail exe (1.1 patch included).

So I swapped my Metaboli 1.1 exe with retail 1.1 exe and file loader and the game runs fine. So if you ordered from gamesplanet and use file loader beware, might be some sort of mem leak occurring or its security check causing issues with fileloader dll.

Have to say in fifa all I ended up liking was some modes, loved be a pro and also playing manager locking to a player but missed the fact I cant do that in a tournament in Fifa. Well, little did I know PES caters for this type of player which I neglected to ever look further and check. Now I can lock to a player in fully licensed tournament and use coach mode which I always kind of wanted in Fifa.

I know it has its set backs compared to Fifa, but on the pitch and presentation is all I want and dont miss the extra career fluff and bells & whistles. Strangely what PES lacks in after match detail and things in career for comparison I dont mind at all, makes it more raw and very on the pitch focus.

If I had to make a comparison I would say that if this was a rally game Fifa = Colin Macrea | PES = Richard Burns Rally - a more sim orientated outlook.

Looking forward to more patch support and new DLC pack soon, I can see past some of its shortcomings becuase all I things I liked and wanted for fifa in terms of style of play and modes it promotes more (for example I liked coach mode in NBA2K and wished it to be in for Fifa). I just found that I got more immersed into the feel of this than Fifa, much as I like both in different ways. Also Jenkeys sliders for ball speed and game speed/shot power & chip power works like fifa sliders but I hit a sweet spot where they play very similar and look (speed) the same but with clearly better anims, despite some funny odd anim clashes.

Still getting the hand of game plans, but it seems to me a fifa dpad tactic but kind of works more like fifa sliders behaviour per tactic which is good, god awful menu systems (haha) but I can live with it for the end result.
