My post was predicated on them getting Ramos, so that's one (I also said they should spend on one and get Drmic if he goes down). I also mentioned Ginter, that's two. I mentioned Hunt and Chopo who would fill the attacking line and mentioned several possible mids depending on who goes down. Didn't mention GK because although there are a bunch of great guys they could get, they don't look like they're gonna replace Weidenfeller any time soon so there's not much point spending big on a good GK to sit on the bench.
Beck is a depth purchase because BVB need depth, but if he had a transfer fee attached I wouldn't mention him. BVB should spend big on a striker and stock up on everything else with these cheap options. Given that Nurenberg look likely to go down, my preference would be Ramos, Drmic and Kiyotake for a fee, Hunt, Beck and Chopo for free. Maybe pass on Kiyotake or Hunt to get a CB (preferrably Ginter). This is assuming limited funds, but given Lewy is leaving, I'd say that's feasible. Only thing left to fill would be MC and I don't remember if Leitner is coming back but that'd work.
Again, the emphasis should be on assembling a squad that can go the whole year. Then weed out those who are not good enough and replace them with quality players. With everyone fit BVB can beat anyone, it'd be stupid to spend big on 2-3 players when what they need isn't quality but quantity. So, quantity now, quality later.
