What a fucking waste of a career. The guy would've been a perfect suit for Chelsea or Liverpool for example. Too bad the coke is bad in China with all that money.

I think Porto could have used him again. At a cheaper rate, of course...

I'm looking forward to Randy Lerner wishing he has never heard the words Aston Villa when he is choosing between the CVs of McLaren and Moyes next season

Even though as far as I know Rafa has absolutely no relegation battling experience, I actually think he could be very good at it on account of his modus operandi of selecting purely on a game by game basis and with absolutely no thought to rotation, squad harmony or dynasty building

Before Valencia, Benitez was Valladolid, Osasuna and Tenerife's coach so he knows what is that about.

Newcastle was a risky choice but if he avoid relegation is a team with money to build something interesting, Newcastle is a quite important team in England.

Yeah it is and they already have a squad that vastly exceeds their league position in terms of quality and was held back by attitude problems and a terrible manager. The attitude problems should be solved because most of these players have never served under a la liga title and cl winning manager before and must surely respect him. Of course, like you say if they get relegated he will be a laughing stock, but it's not like he hasn't recovered from disastrous managerial spells before. I didn't know he had lower end of the league/battling pedigree in Spain - I had never heard of him before Valencia

If i didnt know Leicester position in the table and you show me the squads (Newcastle and Leicester) i'd say Newcastle are the favourites for the game.

EPL bottom teams have a lot of quality players. The likes of Moussa Sissoko or Wijnaldum would be starting for Villarreal or Sevilla.
